I was just browsing a computer forum ( I sometimes take a cheeky dive into the post a picture of yourself thread, some of the guys on there have some lovely jumpers) and I noticed they had a mumsnet thread.
Do you think this thread has good criticism about us? HERE
Sorry I am using a throwaway account as I don't want that forum to know that I am a girl who just goes there to look at the pictures of them.

KayFay- The media hold Mumsnet up as being representative of today's mothers.

obviously not, i'd imagine Mumsnet doesnt comprise many of the mothers I meet on a day to day basis(mainly in accompianment with their SW and their methadone script.

From what i've seen so far MN seems to be composed of decent parents intent on bringing their kids up properly for the best part and giving them the best possible start in life

I love their answer to my question, that some children have hobbies! OK! Hands up Mums, how many of you have children that would come on here as a hobby? I mean seriously! Mine don't because they are too young, but friends I have with older children, I bet anything they don't come on MN as a 'hobby'

Overclocking is making their computers run a bit faster by tinkering with the way the processors, memory etc work. The secret is in not letting it overheat so it constantly crashes.

oh bless - at least they are talking to each other, yes, not in whole sentences, but still....

I'm a geek and have been a teacher of proto-geeks and this lot seem to be wannabe proto-geeks. Anyone want to hear my geek joke?

"how do you spot a well socialised computing student?" "he looks at your feet rather than his own" [hgrin]

I'm currently teaching software design to Meeja students and they are lovely, I almost fainted when they said "have a nice weekend cats" as they left the room - social skills

Not sure I can cope with all this tbh Thingumy. I shall go to bed and dream of overclocking and cream scones.

"Anyway, this isn't the only forum that a lot of those words are used on. Egg-White-cervical-mucus on the other hand... "

This is a parenting site, there is a section for those TTC (trying to conceive), things like this are discussed there. Feel free to NOT read there if you're squeamish to words like mucus....
