Is it just me who looks at the photos of these well ordered rooms and imagines that behind the photographer there is a big pile of children's toys, clothes and other household detritus they have had to drag out of the way before they have taken their picture?

... just me then?...

wordfactory · 14/10/2011 09:03

This blog is a business.

It does not reflect anyone's real life, any more than an advertisement for dog food does.

Blogs can make pretty good money in advertising, sponsorship etc. I know. Over the last years I've run quite a few.

OTheHugeWerewolef · 14/10/2011 11:44

They're Mormons! Run for the hills! Shock

Curiousmama · 14/10/2011 11:54

Does anyone else thing the mum looks like Hilary Swank?

Not keen on blog think it could well be Mormon recruitment material?

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:05

FunnysInTheGarden · 14/10/2011 22:20

SM you are such a slattern, whappen to the table dryer?

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:25

i have a pulley, whats a table dryer?
i like the ambient staged quality of the piccies

FunnysInTheGarden · 14/10/2011 22:29

table dryer is the auto spell check equivalent of one of those things you hoist above your kitchen units and hence forth smell of onions.

I love her TEETH

LadyEvilEyes · 14/10/2011 22:30

Oh, scottishmummy, a pulley.
I think they are now known as an airer.
We had one growing up, they were fab, I'm still thinking of getting one but my kitchen is tiny.

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:32

i have a traditional pulley, love it

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:34

pulley is the metal clothes dryer in scullery?
airer to me is metal/wooden clothes horse

GothAnneGeddes · 14/10/2011 22:45

Tbh, I don't mind when they just write about the good stuff. It's the ones who over share every aspect of their children's lives (Amalah I'm looking at you) that bother me more. Pimping out your child's every waking moment for fun and profit is not cool. I predict some of these children suing when they growup.

As a religious minority myself, I can understand why the blogger might want to use her blog to say that people in religion x have normal lives with everyday things in them too.

TipOfTheSlung · 14/10/2011 22:45

they're calle sheila maids
I hate them ever since a favourite top of mine fell on the aga and frazzled

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:48

sheila maid sound like a fetish

FearfulYank · 14/10/2011 22:57

My blog is way more awesome. :o

I do know people exactly like her and at times I think they're a bit full of themselves but...they're nice enough and happy and not trying to make me wear Godawful trendy glasses so what the hell I suppose. :)

And one of my favorite people on earth is a Mormon so I've got a bit of a soft spot for them. :)

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 22:59

ike1 · 14/10/2011 23:13

Those two dont even look real! The teeth! The hair! The bloody specs! He is deffo Krystal Ken!! Menlove is a failed actress dont ya know. So I guess this is her fall back 'career'.

FearfulYank · 14/10/2011 23:18

I have a perfect-mommy blog ScottishMummy and mine is crap without any pictures. I just like to write. But you can read it if you want :)

FearfulYank · 14/10/2011 23:18

I don't have I mean!

MmeLindor. · 14/10/2011 23:27

FearfulYank
Oh, that blog post is lovely.

CristinaaarghdellAaarghPizza · 14/10/2011 23:31

I like your blog FearfulYank :) It has the joy of being self-deprecating, which none of the uber-mama blogs ever are. They never admit they fuck up. Cherry even admits that but I still want to schmoosh her face into cupcake mix as much as I do with all the other ones.

saffron · 14/10/2011 23:31

GothAnneGeddes I know what you mean, I gave up on Amalah when she started Amalah West on the god awful Babble.
Babble in my opinion is Utter Shite and NOT at all easy to navigate, it made me long for the simplicity of MNet!

scottishmummy · 14/10/2011 23:32

love it,really i like wee neeb into someone else life

CristinaaarghdellAaarghPizza · 14/10/2011 23:34

Cherry does admit that but I still want to schmoosh her face into cupcake mix as much as I do with all the other ones.
