Yep that's the thing, its all carefully marketed now. All the family are in on it, sister does the admin, hubby the accounts and gawd knows who else! I used to have a bit of a laugh at her blog back in the day when she was living in a pokey flat in central london, really amateur crafts peg bags n'shit. Then she must have got that deal with Simon Fuller and moved to the farmhouse and suddenly it was all white carpets etc.

I think the thread was just resurrected because of the article in the mail. I first read her blog in 2006, so she's been on the go 6 years.

i think the Daily Mail article alludes to her and 'robert the husband' / accountant doing something dodgy with the money. to use that final paragraph in a full page article is very telling. i'm sure the journalist could have added more but the judgement has been reserved. i think she's not very kind to with holding someones salary. goes against everything she spouts about on her website. i won't be buying the book or anything else of 'brand cherry's'

ps. interesting that she can now afford to buy a house after years of renting !!!!!!!!

I hope the Daily Mail will do a follow up piece when a judgement has been reached.If it is true what's been written she comes across as such a hypocrite. However, there is no such thing as bad publicity and who knows she may get her TV deal.

If it's all true and once the judgement has been reached, i would doubt very much that she would get a tv deal now. if she was already famous then maybe but she is no one, wanting to be a somebody and we already know she shouts and swears at people in public, according to the article. wy would we want to watch a hypocrite on television? i would rather watch someone who is a nice person like jamie oliver or delia. i've never read a negative anything on them.

Because we havent read anything bad about Delia or Jamie doesnt necessarily mean they are nice people. Max Clifford earns just as much money from keeping news out of the papers as he does putting it in. I agree though, Cherry Menlove comes across as a complete fake now (not that I believed for a minute that she really lived like that anyway).

I use to read Menlove's blog every day with a cup of tea. I actually quite liked it (sorry!). However, after reading the article in the Daily Mail I'm really disappointed. She obviously conned that producer into working with her, just in the same way she's conned all her readers. Fascinating that she was dropped by Simon Fuller's company. They must have been taken in too. Hmmmn. She sounds like a money grabber to me. If you ask someone to do work you should pay them for it. Simple.

exactly. there must have been a contract. it will be interesting to hear the outcome of this after the judgement as everything can be reported then.

I don't mind having a look at her blog. Felt sorry for her when her husband was ill though.
