and we should lower the price, it has been on the market for nearly a year. Can anyone make suggestions how we can tart it up a bit to get it sold?

If it's overpriced all the tarting up in the world won't get it sold surely?

Shakey1500 · 02/10/2011 22:32

clicky link please!

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:33

do you think?

I think the agent is BU

that really is vile! I wouldnt want to live in a place like that no matter how cheap it was.

goodasgold · 02/10/2011 22:34

It depends on how much you want to move, how much your mortgage is, how much you would need to achieve for the next house.

voddiekeepsmesane · 02/10/2011 22:34

OMG house porn !!!! love it. The pool is to die for :)

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:34

My mate is living down the road and also selling up - she is asking more than us and we have a better view

my mates

I think the stone lions could do with a bit of scrub tbh and you have a bulb out in one of the chandeliers - just shoddy dahlink.
Maybe a little accent colour in the master bedroom - pink fluffy cushions?
Also could you arrange some sunshine for better outdoor shots?

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 02/10/2011 22:34

Does anyone else want to stand in the foyer and call "Heeeellllllloooooooooooo" in fed-ex man stylee?

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:35

goodasgold - we are on a main road - the A46 is right outside our gates and we are desperate to move...

OP posts:
Kladdkaka · 02/10/2011 22:35

Yep it's vile. Have you thought of paying someone to take it off your hands?

Jackstini · 02/10/2011 22:35

But your mate has swans..........

Hassled · 02/10/2011 22:35

It's like a shrine to bad taste. It's quite taken my breath away. Like a hideous hotel somewhere on the M4 but with added nouveau riche.

Shakey1500 · 02/10/2011 22:35

The statue in the garden could do with a once over. Otherwise the estate agent is BU. Bargain that is.

ImperialBlether · 02/10/2011 22:36

I think maybe a coat of paint, if you could afford it.

squeakytoy · 02/10/2011 22:36

Your mates house is 2.5 million cheaper, and much nicer.. it even has its own pub!

goodasgold · 02/10/2011 22:36

Sorry is your link to the 8 bed house? Then I think an entire renovation will be what it takes to sell. Try to titivate the kitchen first.

ljgibbs · 02/10/2011 22:36

Hmm looks rather cold to me so I would put some carpets down, get central heating, double glazing and also get rid of the pond and the garden could do with a tidy up. Hope that helps. Grin

chicletteeth · 02/10/2011 22:37

According to my sources, it was listed today.
Property bee is a lovely little application, you should take a look using firefox with this app installed. That or the agents are cheeky fuckers and disguising the fact that it's been on for so long by relisting it daily.

What can I say, the flat screen tv looks too small on the wall.
That Lion with it's arse in the air is most peculiar too

Grin
Kladdkaka · 02/10/2011 22:37

Your mates house is nicer, although it doesn't have a pink front door and the garden gnomes seems to missing.

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:38

the agents are cheeky fuckers - you can do a mn's search on this one as I asked about a year ago what I could do to make the photos better as I was never happy with them...

OP posts:
ljgibbs · 02/10/2011 22:38

Oh do you do club membership for your gym?

piprabbit · 02/10/2011 22:39

Lose the swagging.

Will your mate include the funky furniture?

AuntiePickleBottom · 02/10/2011 22:39

what with the picture in the master bedroom...perfered the 2nd house as it looks like a mini 'white house'

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:40

Your mates house is 2.5 million cheaper, yeah but it has large puddles in the garden - I ask you puddles so large they need a rowing boat to get across them
