and we should lower the price, it has been on the market for nearly a year. Can anyone make suggestions how we can tart it up a bit to get it sold?

Gnomes was my first thought too, plus have you got any of those air fresheners that spew as you walk past? Makes all the difference.

with the 4 million you save, you can build a lovely pool!! or two...

Shakey1500 · 02/10/2011 22:43

Kidding? You couldn't swing a cat in that cottage.

Shakey1500 · 02/10/2011 22:44

snoopdogg · 02/10/2011 22:44

You're not thinking this through - where will the staff live?

TakeThisOneHereForAStart · 02/10/2011 22:45

Your mate needs to get rid of the circular bed, it's horrible.

And it looks weird since they have to have a rectangular quilt on it.

And I bet the pillows fall off.

And it looks weird in the middle of that giant room.

It's put me off completely. I won't be making an offer now.

AuntiePickleBottom · 02/10/2011 22:45

op, i am no expert...but your property choices are vile.....get a clue

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:45

oh shakey can you find me a cat to swing and a bigger house?

it does need to be near a main road and preferably the M40 as we are used to soem traffic noise...

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:46

TTOHFAS - my mate got the interior designer pissed before she started Wink

Is this for real?!

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:47

notlettingthefearshow - what do you think

OP posts:
HalfTermHero · 02/10/2011 22:48

I think you are all being a bit harsh to OP. We can't all afford perfect houses; it is a rather mean of you to rub OP's face in the fact that her house is well, ordinary. I hope that you sell it soon, OP Sad

chicletteeth · 02/10/2011 22:49

Cottage!
'Tis but an annexed play area for the children.

snoopdogg · 02/10/2011 22:49

notletting it's important to support a woman through these difficult life decisions - rein in the cynicism please!!

ivykaty44 · 02/10/2011 22:50

thanks halftermhero - I know my taste is a bit on the unique side but like you say no one is perfect have you seen this...

OP posts:
AuntiePickleBottom · 02/10/2011 22:51

halftermhero i think you are right, we should not mock people who live in shanty towns

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/10/2011 22:51

I think yours seems very reasonable when you consider its a quarter of the price of this three bedroom flat with an extremely ordinary kitchen

Shakey1500 · 02/10/2011 22:51

How about this?

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-25420513.html

A tad smaller than you've been used to but there'll be some petty cash left over to tart it up. I'm particularly impressed with the size of the kitchen.

snoopdogg · 02/10/2011 22:52

BTW op if you get stuck between properties, you're welcome to stay in the manse on our estate, we rarely use it in the winter as we're abroad and take the staff with us - apart from Jellico, someone has to look after the lions!
