It is certainly a good excuse to occasionally lock them in a cupboard.

Fiderer · 25/01/2012 10:50

Have to rush out to work now (meeting with boss re permanent contract so cross all IPOATy digits and limbs please) but wanted to say v glad of all advice and tips. Poor ds2 has had so much to deal with of late.

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 10:53

Good luck dear Fidsy!

BTW, I understand deja vu to be simply a matter of a few seconds time lapse between receiving information and realising that one has, which creates the feeling of it happening before.

Minimammoth · 25/01/2012 20:02

How did your meeting go Fiddy? I hope you will still have time to gather moss for poultice preparation. Our stocks are running low, and we now have Jonny to minister. A good poultice can cure almost everything.

Fiderer · 26/01/2012 08:10

Went well, thanks Mini. Boss and the head are keen to keep me but it's not their decision. Bigwig from the Ministry is coming in 3 weeks to interview me and observe me teach. We did all the paperwork yesterday. Was odd updating my CV and remembering previous lives.

I just wish it paid more and I could get more hours. Things are v grim on the financial front with exH. Grim all round. Do poultices really cure almost everything?

I need not go far for moss. Those maids have been dreadfully slack since Johnny arrived. They spend far too time polishing the parquet outside his room, the keyhole has been polished so much it positively glows and yesterday I saw one of the maids up a ladder cleaning his window for an hour.

Meanwhile there is moss growing inside the windows on the ground floor.

Fiderer · 26/01/2012 08:30

Pagwatch - I am definitely going to try that with ds2.

Good point about the sport. I always think of ds2 as being sporty but actually he's given up one as it clashed with Scouts which he loves as he sees lots of his old friends from primary school. He has a long day, leaves here shortly after 7am and is home at 4.45. Think I'll suggest he does more sport at school, they can choose certain activities in the afternoon.

Hullygully · 26/01/2012 08:38

Ooo well done Fidsy!

Shall we nobble the minister?

Jins · 26/01/2012 09:22

You'll be pleased to hear that Johnny is cheering up a bit. I've done some intensive counselling with him and I've tried the massage therapy mentioned upthread.

He looked at bit puzzled when I covered him in the duvet and threw myself on top of him but he got the hang of it quickly.

I have to say I'm impressed. It's done me the power of good

Jins · 26/01/2012 09:22

Oh and well done Fids. I've got everything crossed

BeribbonedGibbon · 30/01/2012 10:48

Well done Fids!

I am sure someone must have muttered 'a curse of lurgy upon your house' at some point in the last few days. There is much vomiting and general malaise.

When DD1 was sick yesterday it was reminiscent of Mr Creosote.

Honeydragon · 30/01/2012 10:50
BeribbonedGibbon · 30/01/2012 10:59

Backflip back soon won't you!

Minimammoth · 30/01/2012 11:07

Watch out for ha ha Honey.

Jins · 30/01/2012 12:05

Has Miss Honey been in the herb shed?

Hullygully · 30/01/2012 12:11

She'll catch her death.

Send cook after her with an eiderdown.

Honeydragon · 30/01/2012 12:15
Hullygully · 30/01/2012 12:17

Someone call for Father Nazareth-Bethlehem. I fear we'll need an exorcism before the afternoon is through.

entropygirl · 30/01/2012 12:21

If you can't find the father then we could try the super colander again? I has a drain bit at the bottom for letting unclean spirits depart.

Honeydragon · 30/01/2012 12:25
Hullygully · 30/01/2012 12:38

Ooo yes, let's try the super colander. Do you think we can squash Miss Honey in there?

BeribbonedGibbon · 30/01/2012 13:14

Where the buggering bollocks is my sympathy?

Honeydragon · 30/01/2012 13:23

Oh dear

Plague hospital?

Minimammoth · 30/01/2012 14:17

No need for drastic measures surely ' tis just high spirits, Spring must be on the way, there is friskiness around, watch out for the under gardener.

entropygirl · 30/01/2012 15:05

Well if the cook mark 1 fitted in then I am sure Miss Honey will go nicely. And so she should! Distracting us all with a superfluous display of nickerage while dear BeribbonedGibbon was so in need of sisterly succour.
