Are the Padre's not meant for a life of monastic devotion then? (genuine confusion) If not I'll take the one with the cat (firmly ignores possible pussy innuendoes there)

Fiderer · 06/10/2011 19:12

No, they are available for marriage

Miss Sybil, (meant you of course, not the Mini one who is a Mistress, apologies) glad you want the one with the cat. I want bottom left, Padre Hardiente. I once kindly offered his twin brother, Padre Ardiente to Mistress Hully. Apparently he hasn't been the same since.

sybilvimes · 06/10/2011 22:08

Is his twin the petrified looking one next to him (geddit?!!) I take it this occured when Mistress Hully was going through her aggressive hair stage.

Fiderer · 07/10/2011 07:22

Miss Syb, it was when Padre Cojones was afficted with the terrible Brushtail. He asked me to bring Padre Ardiente to Mistress Hully that they may pray together. So eager was she, she dropped her undergarments and Miss Honey fell over them.

Having witnessed such fervour on Mistress Hully's part, I was delighted to meet his twin, Padre Hardiente. Here again the Daguerreotype

Now I know why the Mistresses Hully and Pagwatch are so quiet on the tango front. Have just read the thread.
Pag's "What would Dot Cotton do?" I spluttered at the Hully's sherry and turkey's arse and wept at "Would Auntie like a cream puff?" Thank you both.

Hullygully · 07/10/2011 12:49

Bustles in> How neglectful I have been! The dear gentlemen of Argentina are so beseechful, entreating and demanding! I have been wooed and pursued and chased all over the streets of Buenoa Aires until my slippers are quite worn to holes! How restful to return and see the dear gels so busy at their tatting. How sweet they look!

Sometimes Miss Fid, it is good to venture abroad and seek merriment for the spirit. We are generally to be found arsing about dispensing sage advice and good cheer where'er we can.

Hully you arrre soooo beeeautiful.

Our boarding house is alarmingly empty, are the gels still at their tango lessons ?

YouMaimedMe · 10/10/2011 21:54

Hallowe'en name - whaddya think?

(A little early, I know)

YouMaimedMe · 10/10/2011 21:54

UMaimedMe would be better, but I just can't bear it.

Hullygully · 11/10/2011 08:54

I am lovely!

U've got to have UMaimedMe - works better. Gwan now.

AbsDuWolef · 11/10/2011 09:05

YANBU. That Hully in particular, hanging around outside Italian hotels on her plastic chair.

tut. tut.

Fiderer · 11/10/2011 09:32

UMaimedMe does work better. I feel your pain but sacrifices must be made. Lie back and think of IPOAT.

Jins · 11/10/2011 09:39

my name never works for a seasonal change

Fiderer · 11/10/2011 09:53

Mine neither, Jins. Feels everyone's pain.

Hullygully · 11/10/2011 09:55

Hmmm. Let us don our thinking caps, over our mantillas.

Jins · 11/10/2011 10:24

OMG I have just spoken to the surgeon who operated on me in 2006. He rang in person because he remembers me! WTF was so special that I have been remembered???

Anyway he remains as charming as ever and will be taking my story 'higher up'. Maybe, just maybe, I might get somewhere

Fiderer · 11/10/2011 10:32

As long as it's not Cook's mantilla tatting effort
Honestly, I sent her off to nourish the Padres with her wholesome cooking and the Padres escorted her back last night. Ungrateful clerics. Since then she's been tatting wildly. See what she did with my mantle of compassion.
The poor cabin boy suffers most.

Hullygully · 11/10/2011 10:35

Oh Jins, fingers crossed. Cross stitch crossed.

Fiderer · 11/10/2011 10:39

Jins, charming and remembering are Good, as is taking your story "higher up". Do hope it helps.
We are in training if not

Jins · 11/10/2011 10:45

Good but worrying. I can't imagine being able to remember someone I saw briefly through work 5 years ago unless they did something particularly memorable and seeing as I was asleep at the time I must have been unconsciously memorable.

I have found a thinking cap. Does it suit me?

Fiderer · 11/10/2011 10:58

Yes, it does. Here's mine

Hullygully · 11/10/2011 11:04

What lovely caps! So charmant.

Hope he's not worried he left something inside you Jins...!

Jins · 11/10/2011 11:11

If he did he's welcome to have it back

sybilvimes · 11/10/2011 11:57

Jins, you obvously lay on his table looing like this. No wonder he remembers you. fantastic news though that you have someone important on your side. Fingers crossed he will get something done.
