Morrison's Supermarket and Hygiene

An interesting incident occurred at the Aylesbury branch of Morrison?s the supermarket this afternoon.

I had gone into the store on the way home and whilst at the back observed a member of staff wheeling their push bike through the store. Since they were greeted by other members of staff, I would guess that this was not an isolated incidence and acceptable thing to do. Well given that bikes go on the road where all sorts of un-mentionables are lurking, not least dog pooh, I don?t consider walking a street bike through a store selling food to be a particularly hygienic thing.

So I called the Customer Service department at their head office in Bradford. When I suggested that it should not be the case that staff brought bikes through the store, I was told it was no different to people taking pushchairs or roller-skates into the store and would I expect them to ban those as well. When I questioned this still further, I was told I was being silly. Maybe it is just me, but I left my shopping behind and went to Tesco instead.

At times like this I wish MN had a rolling around laughing head smilie.

Funny ,funny question.

VivaLeBeaver · 19/09/2011 18:18

Can someone link to the willy willy willy thread. I must have missed it.

ThoseArentSpiritFingers · 19/09/2011 18:21

Im always sad when the OP doesnt come back to justify an outrageous post. makes me think it was just a piss take, but it still makes me sad.

I want to know how an OP would be able to justify some of the Qs asked by other posters.

HeadfirstForHalloween · 19/09/2011 18:25

My friend who works at Morrisons says they find human poo in the aisles fairly regularly! At least one a month. And the OP thought she had bike wheels to worry about Grin

HeadfirstForHalloween · 19/09/2011 18:26

The willy, willy willy thread was bizarre! I still get the giggles thinking about someone shouting that at a stranger Grin

AuntiePickleBottom · 19/09/2011 18:31

This is a silly thread, unlike the willy thread which was a brilly thread. The OP has buggered off because it's not a real OP. It's a crap troll. not even funny.

catgirl1976 · 19/09/2011 18:52

Ah a lovely thread! Not as good as willy willy willy but not much is

Still cheered me up. OP you are nice and loopy

sjuperwolef · 19/09/2011 18:55

HandsOffOurLand · 19/09/2011 21:00

Oh dear, this is very, very funny. Grin

GeraldineAubergine · 19/09/2011 21:11

This reminds me of the time I was chastened for unicycling up the tinned Pie isle in kwik save. I have never really recovered from it.

HeadfirstForHalloween · 19/09/2011 21:25

GeraldineAubergine I once stepped foot in a kwik save and never really recovered from it! You must have been traumatised Grin
