to really want a 'hide poster' function?

Argh. Every so often there is a really infuriating, broken record type poster who's on every single bloody thread, I wish I could just hide them..

I know this has been done before but argh..

I'm not saying it is, or who it isn't, so don't start all that rubbish.

It's not like I can hide certain threads because this poster is everywhere..

Is it me? I'm very boring/annoying/repetitive.

MNHQ- how about a hide poster function with a maximum quota of 3, then that would minimise confusion?

I've done the same, KaFayOlay.

I've always thought it was over the top to want to hide posters, afterall you can just ignore their posts. But I can think of about 6 I would hide at the moment.

we have this on anther forum i frequent, if you ignore a poster when they post your simply get 'you have chosen to ignore this poster' instead of what they said, it works fine, doesnt cause any problems, but i am too nosey to ignore anyone anyway

I like the idea of a quota - it would be like when you have a veg box but you can't stand jerusalem artichokes.

I wish I could just ignore certain posts, but the I don't read who's written a post when I'm scanning through a thread. However, when I get to a post my this person I check the name and yes, it's her..

I use the 'ignore' post on Amazon for a really nasty and horrible person that haunts every bloody thread.

I don't think I would find a use for it on MN though.

When the shit has hit the fan I been astounded by the level of support on here.

There are the odd comments that are but on the whole....you lot have seen me through some very dark times and have made me spit tea/wine over the screen with laughter.
