Because that's what they did to the kitten my friend found in the bottom of her bin yesterday.

They hadn't just dumped it, they actually pushed it right down to the bottom, and covered it with the rubbish - she would probably never have found it if her neighbour's dog hadn't gone nuts, barking and scrabbling at the bin.

Luckily she has been able to find it a good home with one of her family, but I hate to think what would have happened on bin day if the neighbour's dog hadn't been passing by.

I have two kittens that were thrown away in a plastic bag and which were rescued. Who does that to living things? WHO?

YANBU - I don't understand why people do this. If you do not want an animal take it to a local animal shelter - it is not difficult.

This is awful! they couldn't have even tried to find it a home as previously pointed out someone is ALWAYS willing to take them in, especially kittens! So much so when I was looking at getting one a few years back a lady had one left from her litter that I was going to have and someone was obviously that desperate for one as it got stolen from her out house!!

people do so much worse. i cringe every time i see a tied up bag on the side of the road/pavement wondering what's really inside after reading stories like these.

I can't even bear to think about the cruelty that goes on to innocent animals. I once read a story about some local boys that cut off a cats ears and threw it on a bonfire! Shocking!
