I lurk a bit at work ( prenteding to be busy, saves me making the tea ) and have started the odd thread here and there seeking advice, BuT my god I feel sorry for the posters who are on here day in day out for hours.
I know some people are socially isolated and I'm sure they get a lot from mumsnet, but it is rather sad when it becomes your main source of adult interaction, and by choice for many I imagin. I know mumsnet has one million members, but it's always the same names coming up in active conversations. These forums should be a place where you drop into now and then, not somewhere you rely on for friendship.

AIBU ?

Yes, some people are just super efficient

Others aren't

I'm here while I'm at work, because I'm sat near the most boring man on the planet and having to converse with him for 40 odd hours a week would lead to one of us being killed.

Bitter Bitter Bitter.

Like the sort of people who sit in the corner at parties calling everyone cunts under their breath because no one wants to talk to them.

If it's all so distasteful, go and talk to your friends about it. It's very rude to butt into someone's conversation to tell them you don't like their conversation.

And for all you know, I'm doing a poo right now. How else do you suggest I entertain myself when I've read all the magazines?

Dont feel sorry for me, love!

Have just got back from hairdressers (with a fab do, obv), feet up, watching property porn on TV, coffee, cake and enjoying the threads on MN.

You are at work.

Mwahahahahahahaha.........

SuePurblybilt · 09/09/2011 13:56

You know how some people say 'I'm reading a book' when they mean 'I'm reading a copy of Chat/Take a Break'?

Just saying, is all.

VelvetSnow · 09/09/2011 13:56

yeah, let's all walk into a bar for example and tell everyone they are sad cunts and walk back out again.....

Do you get joy from that kind of thing OP?

Perhaps I'll start a thread bitching about my annoyance of the new Secret PM club because I too, am a fucking pain in the arse

Gilbonzo - you really did make me PMSL with your post of 13:11:52 - Grin

OP - really, you don't have to worry about the rest of us - we're fine the way we are, thanks very much.
You, OTOH, appear to have too little going on in your own life if you feel the need to worry about everyone else's on MN.
Go and find something more important to worry about.

Fo0ffyShmooffer · 09/09/2011 13:59

Ah but sue I am reading a book. Well I'm reading porn on my kindle.

Well.
I am socially isolated, not always but my friends and family are miles away and my circs make it ahrd to meet people / establish friendships here.

So I can be on here or be lonely.

So don't feel sorry for me, i'm better off hre than talking to the wall.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 09/09/2011 14:01
