Well, OP, you obviously have a different idea of the purpose of sites like MN. They are called communities. That means that people share things, they look out for each other and - shock - they make friends.
They are also places that are great for advice, but they are so much more than that.
I have been here for 5 years now, and have come to know several posters actually pretty well.
Some of them I have never met, but know that I share the same values and sense of humour, so I count them as my friends. Whether or not they would be there for me in any hour of need I don't know, but they are people who I feel I can rely upon to entertain me, or help me, or generally inform me.
Some of them I have met. Some of them I have met several times. In fact last weekend, we had a lunch where 10 of us got together. 5 of us then went back to my house for dinner, and one lovely MNetter stayed over, as she had travelled well over 200 miles to be with us.
So those of us who invest in MN get an awful lot out of it, in real life as well as online.
And if you don't think this is rewarding enough, what do you think about the Christmas 'secret Santa' that goes on here?
But you and your supporter, hamsterz (or whatever he/she is called) don't appear to like any of this very much. So I'm wondering why you are here at all?
Why not just enjoy being so popular in your real life? And if you need information, then Google is your friend from here on in.
