You are not old enough to get married if you want to wear one of these

OP posts:
BatsUpMeNightie · 08/09/2011 19:57

If I didn't know they were Disney I'd think most of them quite lovely! It's the Disney thing that creeps me out! There are people out there who think it's a religion.

lady007pink · 08/09/2011 19:58

I think they're beautiful....

And I'm married 15 years in October....

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 08/09/2011 19:58

THREE THOUSAND POUNDS? For a dress you'll wear ONCE?!

What a waste of money.

If I spent three thousand pounds on a bloody dress, I'd want to wear it until it fell apart! Grin

I know, I blame pregnancy hormones.

JulesJules · 08/09/2011 20:07

OK if worn with Mickey Mouse ears, you know, so it's ironic

Grin

I have actually always wanted Mickey Mouse ears

shakey1500 · 08/09/2011 20:08

I thought they were going to be actual replicas of the characters dresses. I like the Jasmine one as well :)

Cockmonkey · 08/09/2011 20:10

I think they are beutiful.

GingerWrath · 08/09/2011 20:13

Seriously, we took DD to Disneyland Paris (disclaimer: my DF was kind enough to promise her for her 5th then died on us!), there were grown women elbowing young children out of the way to get their photos taken with the 'Princesses'!

ChuffMuffin · 08/09/2011 20:18

The Jasmine one is gorgeous. It says the size is 0-30w. Alfred Angelo's site says the size is 6 to 34w. Can't find a price for it though.

Damn it I'm not even engaged and now I'm shopping for a wedding dress Wink

fatlazymummy · 08/09/2011 20:32

I don't see why the OP called these dresses crap. They look like fairly typical wedding dresses to me [although more lavish than many as reflected in the price]. I personally wouldn't want one but I'm sure many women would, even if they hate Disney.

AWimbaWay · 08/09/2011 20:33

Feel the need to defend my brown dress now Grin, it was this but brown. Everybody say how lovely it is .

Dd1 is always sooo disappointed when I show her it, she would love the one TheMagnificentBathykolpian linked to earlier!

Alconleigh · 08/09/2011 20:35

Please tell us more about the Disney themed wedding Lynette........

tuxedoprincess · 09/09/2011 11:53

some of you clearly never saw big fat gypsy weddings, makes these dresses look very understated!

Disapointed actually

I heard these dresses were due to come out but feel let down!

They just look like normal wedding dresses.

They should have have been far more creative :(

NotADudeExactly · 09/09/2011 13:04

As a hobby couture seamstress I have to say that I would love to make every single one of these - provided I would not have to wear the monster I created afterwards.

I see layers and layers of tulle veiling and a deliciously complicated inner structure to keep these monstrosities in shape. Shame they look so scary!

Proudnscary · 09/09/2011 13:05

YANBU - only because I very much heart your header.

AfternoonDelight · 09/09/2011 13:11

I really like the dresses. I wouldn't have automatically associated them with Disney though.

HairyGrotter · 09/09/2011 13:21

Eeek I like a few of those and I am never getting married..

limetrees · 09/09/2011 13:25

I like those dresses! Particularly Jasmine and Ariel, Tiana quite nice as well.

PMSL at "holy fuckorama" though Grin

Ormirian · 09/09/2011 14:45

How about this. Similar vibe I think.

halcyondays · 09/09/2011 16:23

I like them, particularly the bigger ones, they are fairly typical wedding dresses.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/09/2011 16:25

I would never have noticed they were Disney. No one else would notice - they just look like standard wedding frocks.

The Snow White one with the flowery bodice is beautiful.

milkmilklemonade · 09/09/2011 16:30

I had a shitty wedding, there's nothing wrong with people wanting to feel special. I wish I had been in a position to be able to choose my own perfect day instead of a miserable shit day.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 09/09/2011 16:30

The Ariel and Jasmne dresses are beautiful!
