Manatees are definitely an addition to the rubbery group.

Verahaspurpletwuntypants · 11/08/2011 15:02

Elephants as erasers. :o

Suncottage · 11/08/2011 15:03

Starfish are nobbly but not sandpapery

Can bears be fuzzy?

Fuzzy-Wuzzy was a bear
A bear was Fuzzy-Wuzzy
But Fuzzy-Wuzzy had no hair
So he wasn't fuzzy, was he?

See, it must be true.

limitedperiodonly · 11/08/2011 15:05

Claire what you mean like Daft Ian who makes me doubt the theory of evolution every time I think of him?

AuntieMonica · 11/08/2011 15:05

not all dolphins are gay, but they bully gay dolphins

i'm sure i saw that on one of those 'animal planet' documentaries

AMumInScotland · 11/08/2011 15:07

I thought dolphins were one of the species that prove things like gang rape aren't a purely human idea?

AbsDuCroissant · 11/08/2011 15:08

We actually have a manatee on MN (OTheHugeManatee) - we should ask her if she's rubbery or not

AuntieMonica · 11/08/2011 15:09

yup, see MumInScotland knows

ClaireDeLoon · 11/08/2011 15:10

Start a thread to get her attention Abs.

'Oi, OTheHugeManatee, are your rubbery'

So dolphins are homophobic?

AbsDuCroissant · 11/08/2011 15:11

do dolphins read the daily mail?

Yeah, I might just PM her

reelingintheyears · 11/08/2011 15:12

Drakes gang rape ducks aswell.

I read that somewhere.

LoopyLoopsTootyFroots · 11/08/2011 15:13

Sheep aren't wiry, they are greasy.

farewellfigure · 11/08/2011 15:13

No no NO to using sharks as sandpaper SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots. Massive cruelty to sharks. Surely that can't be right. Anyway how on earth would you hold the shark against the bit of wood without it biting your hand off?

AuntieMonica · 11/08/2011 15:14

yes, they are Sad

farewellfigure · 11/08/2011 15:15

I just got a splinter off a bit of wood on my decking. Oh...just pass me the shark from the toolshed would you?

mrsdonkeybucket · 11/08/2011 15:15

OH ! reeling

AuntieM has just promoted this thread as an 'oasis of calm' and look !

Bullying dolphins and gang-raping ducks.

Not feeling very calm now.....Sad

AuntieMonica · 11/08/2011 15:16

ffs, you don't rub wood on a live shark Shock

you hold the wood under the water and let the shark swim up to it.

the water takes away any sawdust and is therefore a very clean and asthma-friendly way of going about the whole operation!

ClaireDeLoon · 11/08/2011 15:17

Yes let's go back to fluffy things. We need pinot to come post pics of her kittens to restore balance.

OP posts:
AbsDuCroissant · 11/08/2011 15:18

mrsdonkeybucket · 11/08/2011 15:19

I have pictures of fluffies in my photos, if you would like a look.

Suncottage · 11/08/2011 15:19

Sharkskin is used on many things under the name shagreen. It was very popular as a covering for the handle of a sword as it stayed dry no matter how sweaty your hand got during a sword fight.

I have also seen it on decorative clocks etc etc.

AuntieMonica · 11/08/2011 15:19

mrsdonkey i'm sorry, i was trying to get dolphins off the 'cute' list

it's not my fault they have a false persona

AbsDuCroissant · 11/08/2011 15:20

This is like the thread when I found out that the character Ross from friends was creepy and controlling.

I'm never going to look at ducks in the same way again Sad

ShirleyKnot · 11/08/2011 15:20
Shock

What's happening here?

ShirleyKnot · 11/08/2011 15:21

Ross was creepy and controlling.

Nope.
