... for some people to accuse others of 'bullying' or 'attacking' when they have their views disagreed with?

I've noticed a few threads on here in the last couple of days where anyone putting across a contrary view to the OP gets accused of being mean/bullying/personally attacking. I don't like it. Aren't people allowed to disagree anymore?

More to the point, I've noticed that some of the people complaining about 'bullies' are ganging up with each other to 'tell someone off' which comes across as a bit... well... bullying.

mitmoo what on earth are you on about. I don't "know" anyone on here , I have my own opinions which I form myself, not because some other poster is there to be copied. Nor would I ever have the time nor the inclination to launch some pre planned AIBU pack hunt or whatever you make yourself feel better by telling yourself. Ps I have never used words such as "fuckwit/ twunt/ any other such derivatives" so the only reason you think it's acceptable to call me a bully is because I think you're unreasonable, and rather silly. I also think my DD is silly sometimes. Is that bullying?

CupcakesandTwunting · 05/08/2011 10:38

Why are you unable to write "bitch", Mitmoo? Confused Do you think that it's less offensive if you mis-spell it?

SuePurblybilt · 05/08/2011 10:38

I'd like one in those pens that you try to puff up with a hairdryer.

But, hating to burst the bubble and all, I don't think you can be a Maverick Lone Wolef and be in a pack.

SarahStratton · 05/08/2011 10:38

"Honestly I am fairly new here but internet boards are always the same, the pack hunters, the bjtches, the bullies who think they're clever but are really very shallow nasty people."

Often they're not. They're just fed up with idiots who can't see they are being unreasonable. Or drip feeding, making stuff up, etc etc.

Eventually, your reasonable band goes ping and all the reason flies out of the window.

Mitmoo · 05/08/2011 10:39

Glitter I didn't say you did use the words "fuckwit/twunt". You see what I mean about those who hunt in packs not being very bright?

KurriKurri · 05/08/2011 10:40

woolly you may want a few HmmHmmHmm's and a [yawn] - this has been done hundreds of times before, and if you are especially lucky a 'let me google that for you' link Grin

before you flounce have one of these

SuePurblybilt · 05/08/2011 10:40

I cannot pronounce bjtch. Is it like Django?

SarahStratton · 05/08/2011 10:41

Err, that is both rude and unnecessary Mitmoo. And Glitter didn't actually say that you did say that. She was pointing out that she, personally, hadn't used those words.

Obviously one doesn't have to belong to a pack to not be very bright.

glitterkitten · 05/08/2011 10:42

Are you STILL suggesting I hunt in packs and therefore I am not very bright?

You are being extra silly now.

Read. This. Thread.

It might give you a clue

Mitmoo · 05/08/2011 10:42

*Often they're not. They're just fed up with idiots who can't see they are being unreasonable. Or drip feeding, making stuff up, etc etc.

They think people have made stuff up when they haven't. That's Dumb.

To expect people to give their whole live story on every thread. That too is dumb

Though I am thrilled you agree that they were indeed being unreasonable because they were. On that we agree. Grin

CupcakesandTwunting · 05/08/2011 10:42

glitterkitten I'm pretty sure I haven't seen you before on MN, nevermind argued on the same team as you.

But were are in a pack now, mate. Blood brothers, never to be torn apart Predators in search of some AIBU prey.

Rather than just people who disagree with one opinion.

We are a PACK. Now tell me what size you are so I can get this jacket finished.

caffevalium · 05/08/2011 10:43

It has always been so on whatever forum. If you don't agree with an OP yet happen to agree with one or more non-agreers then you're a bully, a gang, have a schoolyard mentality, you're jumping on the bandwagon and so on blah blah blah. The people who say these things are a complete mystery to me and I can only assume they want to stifle lively debate.

Mitmoo · 05/08/2011 10:44

I'm out of the feeding frenzy, this is what the pack wish for, so I refuse to feed them.

I have had my say so bye. Smile

ProfessionallyOffendedGoblin · 05/08/2011 10:44

Weren't you both on Mitmoo's thread about camping and security lights?
Isn't that what the present kerfuffle on this thread is about?

caffevalium · 05/08/2011 10:45

And why IS mitmoo going on about people 'hunting in packs' - this is PRECISELY the sort of thing I mean. I don't know any single person on this thread - how long before I'm 'hunting in the pack'?

CupcakesandTwunting · 05/08/2011 10:46

"I'd like one in those pens that you try to puff up with a hairdryer.

But, hating to burst the bubble and all, I don't think you can be a Maverick Lone Wolef and be in a pack."

That's what I was trying to think of, those fluffy hairdryer pens. I made my own Bros t-shirt with one of those in 1989. Matt Goss looked like he'd been sat in front of a barfire for a week.

Can't we be a pack of Maverick Lone Wolefs? Stop being so conformist.

usualsuspect · 05/08/2011 10:46

Has Clique been mentioned yet?

caffevalium · 05/08/2011 10:47

Give it time usual. Give it time.

SarahStratton · 05/08/2011 10:47

Not dumb Mitmoo. If something doesn't add up, the OP will be called on it. Also not dumb to expect posters to give all relevant facts. And not drip feed. Otherwise it just comes across as the OP drip feeding and twisting facts to suit their argument.

And I most certainly wasn't agreeing with you. If you can't see that the above is being unreasonable you are in for a tough time on AIBU.

SuePurblybilt · 05/08/2011 10:49

YY to the shitty puffy highlighter pens. They promised so much and delivered wee luminous worms of sadness.
They weren't cheap, either.

We could be a pack of Maverick Lone Wolefs, in the spirit of trendsetting I guess. What you rebelling against?

glitterkitten · 05/08/2011 10:49

cupcakes I accept your spotty handshake. Want to come round to mine, drink wine and draw up a victim hit list? Size eleven jacket, wolf howling against a moon backdrop please. Just working on a secret code word for when the pack need to launch an attack. For fun.

SarahStratton · 05/08/2011 10:49

Mitmoo is still smarting that very few posters agreed with her re her security light thread.

CupcakesandTwunting · 05/08/2011 10:50

"I'm out of the feeding frenzy, this is what the pack wish for, so I refuse to feed them."

That's a bit much. All I wanted is a jacket with some Blue Peter bling on the back, a lesson on how to pronounce bjitch and someone to explain to me the irony of calling everyone a bjitch/bully but then making slurs on their intellect.

I suppose that will never happen now :(

ShirleyKnot · 05/08/2011 10:50

Gosh. Mitmoo is just such a wonderful addition to the boards is she not?

I for one am glad she's here.

You bunch of bullying bjitches.

glitterkitten · 05/08/2011 10:50

I meant spitty handshake
