that men prefer a shaven or hairy fanny?

I've just started seeing someone new and I feel that tonight (when he's cooking me dinner at his house - very romantic) some serious shagging i reaaaally hope will might occur :o

Desperate? Me?? Nah!!!

So, I was chatting with a male friend yesterday and we are very comfortable with each other and the subject of hairy/shaven fanjo's came up, and he said he can't stand hairy fannies, puts him right off, and most men think like this. Wanker! I have a hairy fanny and now i'm worried that it will kill the moment tonight!!! Help!

A shaven or waxed undercarriage is more sensitive for oral sex, but it can get stubbly if not freshly done - so from the man's pov it could be preferable to have trimmed short hair rather than not-recently shaved. I'd say it's pretty logical that au naturel undercarriage hair might be a bit unpleasant for the man while giving oral but generally I think the only requirements are to be clean as everyone is different. Bare front fanny is an aesthetic choice, I don't like it at all and wouldn't do it for anyone, and a man who had an issue with it wouldn't get far with me (unlike bare underneath which can and does affect sex)

Personally, I'd always make sure I'm freshly shaved underneath and tidy at the front if having sex with a new or newish partner. It's completely different if it's someone you live with on the other hand - that's more for special occasions Wink

i once slept with a guy and he said i was weird for not shaving. But everyone else quite a few have expected hoped for a neat clean fanjo. As do i on the gents too.

Too long hair gets in the way of oral i find. So we both trim to short and neat.

Yup way too much info i know. sorry about that!

FabbyChic · 03/08/2011 13:26

Ive never met one man who likes a hairy fanny, and I've met a lot.

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 03/08/2011 13:32

My paramours get what they're given and if they're not suitably appreciative they don't get given again Grin

pink4ever · 03/08/2011 13:38

My dh is the only man I have ever been with who has commented on pubic hair(though had a few bf who dropped hints). Dh prefers shaved fanjo-he watches a lot of porn quelle surprise!.
I used to use hair removal cream down there on a regular basis-too much of a wimp for waxing but now I dont bother. He can take it as he finds it and if he doesnt like it-tough.
Anyway I find as I am getting older it is getting sparser on its own so will probably be bare back soon enoughBlush

dreamingbohemian · 03/08/2011 13:45

Fabby, that's ridiculous. Plenty of men like hairy fannies! Okay not overgrown and wild, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of fur. I know my DH would be really turned off if I shaved it all off, but then he's not into porn so maybe that's why.

LauLauLemon · 03/08/2011 13:46

DH doesn't mind and says it's completely up to me but he prefers either well shaved or neatly trimmed. A big unruly bush doesn't do it for him as he "likes to see".

peppapighastakenovermylife · 03/08/2011 13:47

I asked my DH and he looked horrified at the idea of shavn - asked why I thought he would want me to look pre pubescent! Neatly trimmed was fine...

Spuddybean · 03/08/2011 13:48

personally i like the front to have a neat tringle of short hair as i think my fanjo looks fat without it's dark slimming properties! Haha, god i sound bizarre!

The only relevant thing ( as has been said ) is that a wild lady garden is a bit of a turn off for most. Didn't seem to be a problem in the 70's though or so I hear.

Neatly trimmed ( no novelty shapes ) is ideal imo. I mean there has to be some mystery.

SarahStratton · 03/08/2011 13:59

Hair removal has fuck all very little to do with porn. It's been practised in many cultures since biblical times, and is a requirement of some religions. Some of those state it is for hygiene reasons. Apart from that reason, for most people it's just personal preference.

Personally, I remove all the underneath and sides and just leave a neat stripe at the front. Best of both worlds.

Whatmeworry · 03/08/2011 13:59

The sort of man who is faffing about the twat topiary is not the sort of man you want anyway :)

SarahStratton · 03/08/2011 14:00

Oh, and I actually agree with Fabby. I've never met a man who likes a wild garden either.

catgirl1976 · 03/08/2011 14:01

I'm with SarahStratton. Nice neat landing strip and the rest removed.

Ormirian · 03/08/2011 14:03

Bloody hell! Men have got more fussy since I was in the market for non-married sex Shock

BertieBotts · 03/08/2011 14:07

I always wonder what is considered "wild" on these threads. I don't trim at all, but perhaps I have a naturally neat bush?

Spuddybean · 03/08/2011 14:07

but i also expect oral from a bloke (so you need to make the environment inviting) so maybe womens expectations have changed too. from talking to mum and her pre 80's single sex mates, oral sex was not really offered from a bloke on the first night.

For me i'd be Shock if it wasn't!

catgirl1976 · 03/08/2011 14:08

Perhaps a vajazzle is now "wild"? I find them cringeful but each to thier own I suppose [hm]

BertieBotts · 03/08/2011 14:09

Meh. I only had one ex who complained about doing oral if I didn't shave, and he was a wanker in other ways. Nobody else has minded.

LolaRennt · 03/08/2011 14:10

I think tidy is your safest bet

Spuddybean · 03/08/2011 14:12

catgirl as long as the term doesn't make 'your teeth itch' Wink

catgirl1976 · 03/08/2011 14:13

No, but I bet if you got some of those tiny diamantes trapped in your gums while you were down there then it would Grin

SarahStratton · 03/08/2011 14:14

I've never had any complaints either. But I have discussed it with them and it's always been a negative response to hairiness.
