The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, Elmo, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Ugh. Playdate time. The kids just sucked up DS's blanket with the vacuum and now the entire house smells like burnt yarn. Ewwwww.

DS's friend is quite a naughty cheeky little boy and is given to making a weird, high pitched noise at random intervals. And tbf DS is no better with friends over; he keeps saying "that's mine, you can't play with it, we don't play with it that way," etc.

But this is how they learn isn't it? It's all necessary for social development and whatnot and is it time for him to go yet

How long have you got him for yanky - ime playdates at your ds's age should be short and sweet, hour and a half max!

When they gate to 10 they disappear and you just leave them to it - it's fab, we have kids over all the time these days!

I am off in a minute to choose a nice cover for me new Kindle - have wanted one for ages so was really pleased that dh got me one I dropped enough hints!

We will go out at the weekend for a meal as dh is on odd shifts this weeks.

Dh DID come home and I managed to get out with the girls - had a lovely evening at a friend's house and she cooked and we had a lovely evening cackling like a gaggle of geese

I was in town at 9.30 am this morning - that took some effort I can tell you but I needed to go to the Post Office, it's such a shame our local PO was closed, I have to drive to it now. I miss the days off being able to pop to the PO, it takes some organising now and dragging ds out of bed

Anyone got plans for the weekend? I think dh is taking us out for a meal tomorrow which I am looking forward to - a late birthday treat as he was working in the week.

Happy belated birthday Valium!!! Ikwym about the drive to the post office. Our mail is still delivered to our mailbox (which are located at the road), but I have to drive to the nearest town to send anything out. Bit of a pain when ebaying things especially.

Cheerful have you seen our new money (the plastic $100's)? I am loving reading the news about what our American neighbors think of it. I always thought your money looked so nice and businesslike, though I do have to learn to pay closer attention to what denomination of bill I am handing over when visiting!!!
