He has banned youtube.
I use youtube to watch music videos, perhaps 5 per day, and also I watch various things such as recently watching lots of videos on Autism, because my child is going through a diagnosis right now.

He banned youtube without talking to me about the possibility of banning it.

He says it uses too much bandwidth and we're over our limit, yet he's allowing next door to use our internet in exchange for 5 pound a month.

Do you think he's being controlling?

Shall I arrange to have my own seperate internet connection?

Let's talk you through the unban shall we....

Control panel
Network or parent control settings

At the end make sure you give your PC a new password that completely locks him out.

SanTEEClaus · 15/12/2011 13:54

Leave the bastard. Right now. Today.

And learn how to use a computer correctly so that no one can ever do this to you again.

yes, very old thread.

SanTEEClaus · 15/12/2011 14:01

Damn, I usually check these things!

RaraGigglePixie · 15/12/2011 14:01

I don't get it.

He's banned everyone, including himself from using you tube as it's costing too much money.

What exactly is the problem?

RaraGigglePixie · 15/12/2011 14:02

Bollox, should've carried on reading.

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 15/12/2011 14:04

I've had to skim to the end because, firstly, I watch Youtube videos half the night when I can't sleep and never go over our paltry limit.

But mostly, I can't believe the stupidity of someone who lets the neighbours access the internet through...ah fuck it, just seen zombie thread.

minimisschief · 15/12/2011 14:37

tbh i would like to hear his side. if hes gone as far to ban everyone including himself from youtube it seems a bit drastic unless you were glued to it all day long.

OK, but Newbies get to comment, no?

He's a fuckwit.

Comment over.

MabelLucyAttwell · 15/12/2011 16:53

He is controlling. My ex won't have internet installed until his new wife has done some clearing out of the garage (boxes with things in still there after moving in 5 years ago). At least she's standing up for herself but still has no internet.

BertieBotts · 15/12/2011 16:56

Newbies could comment, but it would be more use them commenting on current threads...
