a quad bike Hmm

I have no problem with his original idea of a motorbike but a quad brings up images of some prat trying to look cool and failing miserably.

On a farm etc is great but not driving on the main roads to get to work.

Am getting a red neck just thinking about it.

Oh you poor love Sad

Have you not seen any indicators that he's like that before?

Kayano · 28/07/2011 18:53

Leave the bastard

GreenEyesandHam · 28/07/2011 18:54

Ugh. Your DH is now turning my stomach.

Grin
BelleDameSansMerci · 28/07/2011 18:55

That made me smile... Things that put me off my ex included quad bike, wearing football strip, sometimes taking his shirt off in public, etc. YANBU.

Nicola567 · 28/07/2011 18:57

I am actually being serious!

He is now looking at one that I can get on the back off Hmm

Stranded - even if you don't wear a helmet? (Like they do round here)

worraliberty · 28/07/2011 19:13

If he doesn't already have a scrawny grey ponytail, may I suggest you buy him a stick on? Grin

Nicola567 · 28/07/2011 19:13

Really stranded?

I just don't "get" them!

I think he would look like a knob!

OP posts:
Wallace · 28/07/2011 19:14

What about a trike?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 28/07/2011 19:15

ahem cough cough midlifecrisis cough cough ahem

Nicola567 · 28/07/2011 19:20

I think it is a early midlife crisis, he is suddenly obsessed with river island and converse after years of me having to dress him.

He is only 35btw but seems to be regressing at a alarming rate!

Lizzylou · 28/07/2011 19:24

I suppose a quad bike is better than trying to shag 19yr old blonde secretaries?

Marginally.

Imagine trying to pull on a quad bike..ha ha ha ha ha ha

RightUpMyRue · 28/07/2011 19:27

YANBU. He sounds ill.

ChaoticAngelofGryffindor · 28/07/2011 19:29

It's cheaper than a Ferrari Grin

alowVera · 28/07/2011 19:29

Tell him to get a motorbike and stop being a pansy.

Nicola567 · 28/07/2011 19:34

Not sure if I am feeling better or not that most people seem to agree with me?

Did chuckle out loud at the pansy comment though :D

OP posts:
nomoreheels · 28/07/2011 19:39

No, no no. Quads are an utter nuisance round where I am. (urban setting) The engine noise is bloody annoying & loud & they're always being driven by scrotes. Some of them love to ride them in the park next to my house, where they destroy the greens & scare off the nice people who use the park, e.g. dogwalkers & families.

Horrible things. The sound of one is enough to make me break out in hives. When the police publicly crushed some confiscated ones in our local supermarket car park I cheered!

SnapesPlaything · 28/07/2011 20:05

Agree with alowVera, tell him to be a real man and get a Harley.

FreudianSlipper · 28/07/2011 20:19

i feel embarassed for you

imagine it being parked outside, oh the shame. agree tell him that a real man would get a harley and that they are hot

nocake · 28/07/2011 20:22

All the downsides of a motorbike with none of the benefits (like being able to jump traffic queues). He's an idiot.
