to be eating a spoon of Betty Crocker vanilla buttercream for no apparent reason?

Background- DCs are in bed and I am waiting for the final of the Apprentice to start. I wander into the kitchen (as you do) and open a (random, honestly I did not know the icing was there!) cupboard and spot an unopened jar of sickly sweet, creamy, whippy american style frosting.

I don't know why but I opened it and took a spoonful and ate it. Now feel guilty. Do you think this will become a habit? Will I be forced to go back for more while I watch the Apprentice? No other adult @home to witness my possible bingeing on frosting.

Is this unreasonable behaviour or perfectly normal?

I'm becoming even more depraved with you lot egging me on.....here's my train of thought-

would quite fancy a spoon of chocolate buttercream, but don't have any. so would it be unreasonable to add some cocoa powder to the vanilla buttercream?Grin

I just ate half a packet of oaty hobnobs. They were bloody lovely. And there is another packet in the larder. Must resist, must resist....

Surely the oats are good for my heart or summink?

seeitoldyou · 17/07/2011 20:59

And I wonder why I'm no longer size 10 Hmm

...youve made me think about taking a spoon to the delightful jar of peanut butter sitting in the cupboard..

Meglet · 17/07/2011 21:01

Yabu. You should be eating the chocolate one.

I have a tub in the cupboard to use up. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Mmmmmmm

MarkStretch too safe- half a packet?! not exactly pushing the boat out. In fact, I'm sure half a packet of oaty biscuits is ok under any circumstances Grin

YABU but only because it's disgusting...

seeitoldyou · 17/07/2011 21:04

I have a pot of chocolate frosting in the larder too, maybe I could spread it on the hobnobs, or create an oaty, chocolately biscuit sandwich!

Rosemallow · 17/07/2011 21:07

YANBU but I am now sorely tempted to go and MAKE some buttercream so I can eat it!
(no sweet stuff in our house :( )

as we're all friends here (even the one who boaked whatever that is!)......I might as well confess 2 other past sins along the buttercream lines:

spoon of peanut butter
spoon of nutella
