Will I never be wed?

Hullygully · 08/07/2011 08:46

Um, this is a matter of some delicacy, but don't mention death in the presence of the Colonel, will you? He doesn't know he is quite quite moribund yet, and Dr Polidori assures me that he can continue to enjoy a full and interesting life (after dark), despite this unfortunate difficulty.

His family are coming to town to have a conference on the matter this evening. I believe he has seven brothers, although I have not yet met them. Do be kind and welcoming, they will need gentle soothing and assistance to help them through this most troublesome of situations.

Before I return I must hold vigil to clean myself of the transylvanian illness. I will need Holy water and lots of it, and a virgin..........anyone.

CheerfulYank · 08/07/2011 11:58

Mini darling, we all know I have A Past.

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/07/2011 12:04

I fear my frantic ride with after the Colonel has spoiled my maidenhead...

sybilvimes · 08/07/2011 12:07

Oh the poor colonel when I think of that poor dead man's lovely smile

sybilvimes · 08/07/2011 15:51

Oh dear I fear something untoward has happened.

I had a fearful dream last night that a giant and very friendly bat made improper advances towards me in my bedchamber, and now I feel very strange. Also, my abilty to write and speak grammatically seems to have been affected (see previous post)

I do hope it will pass quickly, especially as I am unaccountably getting the urge to dress like this I do hope the Colonel's brothers won't get the right wrong impression

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/07/2011 15:56

I too am feeling most langorous today. My neck is sore afflicted and I feel most wan. The light hurts my eyes and I fear garlic an attach of the vapours.

Hullygully · 08/07/2011 16:14

Now look here ladies, what you all need is some bracing night air and activity to dissipate these strange langours and lying-abouts. I shall take you abroad this eve neath the full moon to hunt the wondrous beast renowned yet unseen in these parts. That will put the colour back in your cheeks. I saw the Colonel earlier, he looked well and in good spirits, considering his sad demise.

Mistress Wolverine Hully, I believe a night of fresh air and exercise would be most beneficial. Did you mention the Colonel? Will he be joining us?

minimammoth · 08/07/2011 17:11

I have made arrangements with Count von Shlepnhips, we will have a distance marriage, he to carry on his business in the locality, I shall of course retain my title. Preen, preen. But now we must prepare for the night ahead.

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 08/07/2011 18:04

Why the giant bat you dreamed, did it bear any resemblance to this?

The Col is up and about and in very good spirits, he drained ate his black-pudding very satisfactorily

[hangry]

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 08/07/2011 18:24

Why Mistress Unami (love the hp nc Wink) I see you've also had a nibble on the Col bratwurst, I hope it was to your satisfaction?

UmamiSanguini · 08/07/2011 18:56

Alas, my dear Ridgeback, the Colonel's bratwurst was more sausage than I am used to. The texture was pleasantly firm, and it had just the right amount of spiciness, but I found that no matter how hard I tried, I just could not finish it off.

CheerfulYank · 08/07/2011 19:09

I feel so drawn, ladies...perhaps a bit of beef liver to brace my spirits? I don't know what has come over me, I feel so...hungry.

sybilvimes · 08/07/2011 20:26

I awoke from a daytime nap to find myself in a most odd but strangely comfortable upside-down position. Yes, those chiseled good looks are those of my night-time lover bat. Being gently reared I did succumb resist him but I fear the memory of those hot rubber muscles will haunt my slumber for some time to come...

I shall ignore my odd desire to emit a high pitched whistle however and join Mistress Hully on her night-time hunt, the night somehow seems strangely alluring to me this eve...

CheerfulYank · 09/07/2011 11:10

A hunt, you say? Oh yes, I do so love a...hunt.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/07/2011 13:58

Mistress Yank, I fear we have lost our companions to the werewolves ...

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 10/07/2011 14:13

Gels, gels do not fear we have been quietly and modestly tatting in our bed chambers. The sunlight is over bright I feel and one does not want a suntan like a common labourer.

Mistress Hully has been off fetching sticks wood for tonight's bonfire.

Hullygully · 10/07/2011 17:44

And, dear Mistress Belle, we are a terribly erratic lot, we have ebbs and flows and flurries and whatnots...indeed there was a time, back in the days of yore and legend, on the very first thread, when I was all alone for at least three pages. What a gay time I had of it! Dancing and frolicing alone in the Hall, everyone subject to the merest whim of my keyboard. Why, it almost turned my pretty little head!

Mistress Hully you're terrible thorough when cleaning Rochesters blunderbuss why with all the tooing and froing it positively glistens.
