saf - I always regret intemperance, and said so on that very thread. But having wandered over, attracted by the whole fem thing, I was shocked and outraged and (proles fave word) DISGUSTED by what I read and reacted thusly.

See, to me, this thread is (apart from a couple of extremists, OMIGAWD I MEAN YOU for eg) all about people pleading not to be bullied, hectored, belittled etc. To have it represented as an attack on fems per se, and all the other stuff that thank god I can't remember and refuse to look, but do go ahead if you want to, was v upsetting and felt grossly unfair.

But I agree that intemperance is always regrettable.

"Pulling stuff out over here and using it as a way of personally attacking is nasty, nasty stuff."

A. No it's not. Save 'nasty' for the appropriate usage, not when people might need to do something to make a point about the topic at hand.

B. Your own 'side' is doing it too, so they are equally 'nasty.'

How curious, MarySueFTW. I haven't posted on this thread previously. Nor very much since you joined. Yet you have decided what 'side' I am. How would you have any idea?

It is the staring at a screen plus dehydration and acute frustration swallowedafly.
You need a brisk walk and possibly gin.

I am going to take a break. If I have to pick a side I am going to kick someone.

Pagwatch · 06/07/2011 13:27

I am a feminist

It seemed like you were one-sidedly supporting dittany. After I posted I thought maybe I was too quick to assume that. I was just calling o0ut what i thought was hypocrisy and the inappropriate usage of the word 'nasty' which I must say is WAY overused by everyone on any side here, imo.

I should probably stay out of things, I knew it would be counter-productive. But you know, big mouth.

DontCallMePeanut · 06/07/2011 13:30

I have the whole school thing to look forward to next year...

Ahh, come on MarySue, hold hands and join up. Room for all. Everyone's allowed a voice.

I think we're kind of fixing it, Lenin, or just exhausting ourselves into getting along...

AliceTwirled · 06/07/2011 13:32

MarySueFTW no-one here is as green as we are cabbage looking.
