This is a serious attempt to be reasonable.
Dittany, are you able to name the posters you perceive as misogynistic?
Am I one?

CrapolaDeVille · 03/07/2011 20:25

I am a feminist, a very proud one, I completely agree with most of the movement. Sometimes I run out of good argument, especially on the feminist board, because the other posters are much better read and informed than me. I do think that men and women are different from the get go, but shouldn't be defined by their gender.

Hullygully · 03/07/2011 20:26

This is how they ALWAYS end up

That's why it's better to put stuff in aibu etc

Didn't take long for things to change. Interesting to see the change in tone of the thread when it moved.

I said posters who had misogynistic views garlicbutter, I didn't say posters I perceive as misogynistic, so would you like to ask that question again.

No. I asked the question I asked. I don't have to rephrase it because you dislike it.

Ah.....so I did say that.Blush Obviously that should have said some radical feminist....

And I'm a fucking feminist......please don't start talking to/for/about me where you assume I am/am not anything.

I AM a feminist, as much as you. And some radical feminists are man hating twats that seem to think men are superfluous to a civilised society. These feminists do more damage to the movement than some dumbass waitress in Hooters that play very nice. To pretend there aren't such women is to be dishonest, very dishonest. In fact I'd say they are the reason most people think feminism is weird.

"You didn't say some though did you Crapola."
But she did.

"CrapolaDeVille Thu 30-Jun-11 11:42:30
Shhh don't tell anyone but there are anti men themes in some feminism....radical feminism, where the starting point is that all men are rapists."

CrapolaDeVille · 03/07/2011 20:47

What? Some are. FFS. Some priests are paedophiles, some Indians are rich, some white people are poor, some men are gay, some children are gifted.

SOME. I've met my fair share at various conventions, conferences of mothers that are rad fems who hate men and think all men are rapists,.

And stop this 'us' crap. Under a different posting name I have posted here since it began it's own section and way before.

Do you want more people to want to be feminists or do you prefer the small number of clever women that aren't scared of this section? How is anyone supposed to be enticed into feminism if, even those who self identify as feminists, you keep using the 'us and them' rubbish.

I am a feminist.

dittany Are you going to deny that some radical feminists think men are predatory potential rapists? You can definitely speak for them all, apparently.
