The Non-Feminist Point of View

JamesHuff · 29/06/2011 15:00

I have noticed over the last while that the Feminist section has grown over the last bit.

This does not surprise me, but I feel compelled to ask why this site has begun to ascribe to a sociopolitical ideology when it was originally a resource for parents.

I think that as a result of this discrepancy, non-feminist points of view should have their own section as well. I hope people who disagree with inequalities feminism has created within our legislation will be compelled to express themselves more often.

I don't see it as unreasonable. Since there will be disagreements on various topics, I just figure a non-feminist based section would be in order. This way parents have a choice that reflects both sides of the coin.

I am a kitten kicker.
It's a living.

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 16:18

This is like poetry for the drunken

ShirleyKnot · 29/06/2011 16:19

I am totally going to become a Non Relationship person.

Sad
GetOrf · 29/06/2011 16:19

We need beenbeta to come on here and KICK HIS ASS!

SeymoreButts · 29/06/2011 16:19

Has the OP been generated by one of those online language translators?

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 16:20

There is kind of an unofficial BeenBeta fan club on mumsnet isn't there

SybilBeddows · 29/06/2011 16:20

BeenBeta is already here. He kicked OP's ass politely but firmly.

Pagwatch · 29/06/2011 16:21

In fairness non sahm does cover me pretty thoroughly

AnyFucker · 29/06/2011 16:21

he quoted that very famous feminist, Shania Twain Grin

Chen23 · 29/06/2011 16:21

"Over 130 posts, 99 pc saying pretty much the same thing. Safety in numbers, eh girls..."

Mcdowdall, You should check out Jame's fave, the antimisandry forum, if you want a glimpse at a squalid circle jerk with not even a remotest sense of objectivity.

A bunch of group think nonsense where I'm sure you'd find a warm welcome.

It does provide a glimpse into James' mentality tho

When asked if he knew any women he admired, a "A Nice woman. An achieving woman. A feminine woman." he replied:

"I know not a single one personally. Perhaps that is why I am not married."

Quite possibly, altho tbh I'm pretty sure there's a fair few other good reasons as why he might still be single.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 29/06/2011 16:22

Oh. Well, it all seems a bit guff and no substance. So I'm none the wiser, really. Although I did stumble across a fascinating thread where the use of the word 'whore' was having it's acceptable applications debated.

TandB · 29/06/2011 16:22

Aww. Poor Bilz.

SinicalSal · 29/06/2011 16:23

Can this non sense business be applied to religions? I'll be a non Catholic. We believe Buddha merely symbolised the transubstatiation of Shiva's body and blood at Last Passover

Pagwatch · 29/06/2011 16:23

So is it worth waiting for a whole clutch of hot men to turn up and support James or should I go and get dd. Hot men do hang with ugly stupid blokes to make them look good don't they?

mdowdall · 29/06/2011 16:24

He may well be a tit Chen23 but you feminists do yourselves no favours with this pathetic kids in a school playground ganging around one person mentality.

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 16:25

Oh bugger I missed that beenbeta post with the confucian wit of Shania.

Beta do you frequently declaim the legend 'damn, I feel like a woman?' Grin

LindenAvery · 29/06/2011 16:25

Attention seeking James? Mdowdall?..............................whatz za matterz?

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 29/06/2011 16:26

I don't remember going to war with men. Was there an announcement? I generally quite like them. Unless they're arseholes, natch.

GetOrf · 29/06/2011 16:26

We are not ganging up on the OP.

We are waiting round in an eager circle with breasts bared invitingly, waiting for the OP's pearls of wisdom and edumafacation.

TandB · 29/06/2011 16:26

[snort] at the thought of poor, well-meaning ganged-up-on Jamez.

mdowdall · 29/06/2011 16:27

Not attention seeking myself. Just not comfortable with people ganging up on one person, no matter how much you dont like his views.

Pagwatch · 29/06/2011 16:28

Who should we be doing ourselves favours with?

Do you mean that someone who announces that he is going to post a wind up thread on a board he has no interest in, should be treated like someone who wants a discussion?

There is plenty of sensible debate all over the board. It just requires a poster with genuine curiosity and an interesting opinion to discuss.
James misses on both counts

AbsDuCroissant · 29/06/2011 16:28

Ah, so there's now two new bitter men on MN. GREAT. Just what we need.

Why can't we have more Betas? MORE BETAS

xxx

TandB · 29/06/2011 16:28

Absolutely. I think only one person should be allowed to engage with Jamez so that he doesn't feel cowed.

I vote for Hully.
