The Non-Feminist Point of View

JamesHuff · 29/06/2011 15:00

I have noticed over the last while that the Feminist section has grown over the last bit.

This does not surprise me, but I feel compelled to ask why this site has begun to ascribe to a sociopolitical ideology when it was originally a resource for parents.

I think that as a result of this discrepancy, non-feminist points of view should have their own section as well. I hope people who disagree with inequalities feminism has created within our legislation will be compelled to express themselves more often.

I don't see it as unreasonable. Since there will be disagreements on various topics, I just figure a non-feminist based section would be in order. This way parents have a choice that reflects both sides of the coin.

Wouldn't you rather be friends with us mdowdall? Wouldn't you be happier? Really?

SinicalSal · 29/06/2011 18:01

That 'Women Love Rape' link is so disturbing PrincessHumperdink.

Is that a typical Non Feminist or AntiMisandry view?

Pagwatch · 29/06/2011 18:01

Oh he is trying at least.
None of their other mates have turned up.

reelingintheyears · 29/06/2011 18:02

mdowdall.

His pores they were open
And greasy and oozing
He never got lucky
When he went out cruising.
Sad

Is there such a thing as non-feminism? I am trying to think what the opposite would be and I can only think of patriarchy, where the power in society is held by adult men. Except feminism isn't suggesting that the power should be held by women (that would be a matriarchy). So it seems to me that feminism is actually reasonably inclusive of men in its desire for fairness.

Tell us about your life.

SuePurblybilt · 29/06/2011 18:09

Howling Shock. You know him then?

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 18:09

No, Holdall, I am serious. Why don't you want to be friends?

Pagwatch · 29/06/2011 18:09

He's not feeling the love hully

I fear it may be hopeless.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 18:11

Jamez - I am now really upset. You are from texas! My favourite state. Texans are lovely, what happened to you, darling? Where did it go so wromg?

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 18:12

Love is the way. We will love them into peace and harmony. Their hearts are sad and damaged, or they wouldn't think and speak as they do.

PinotsEvilTwin · 29/06/2011 18:12

Sin - just, erm, thoughts about kittens. Generic, fluffy, purry, cute kitten thoughts.

I can't say sprinkles kittens as that implies I've chopped them up and am dispersing them as evidence. That would be wrong. Obvs.

At the mo, kitten 1 is lying in the sunshine, kitten 2 is asleep in a cardboard box. See - nice thoughts

TrilllianAstra · 29/06/2011 18:13

The only other Shania Twain song I can think of right now is "Man! I feel like a woman"

TrilllianAstra · 29/06/2011 18:13

This might help calm everyone down

(not the bat, or Terry, but something nice, I promise)
