Am trying to turn my current feelings of rage and hatred into something a bit more lighthearted. Just wondering if anyone else has been dumped in a more cliched manner, for a more cliched OW than me. So here goes -

I was recently dumped by my H for a woman who is -

half his age 10 points

blonde 5 points

from overseas 10 points

a STRIPPER 50 points

Oh yes, for some bonus points he started his affair while I had post natal depression 10 points , and guess how old he is going to be this year? Yes, later in the year he will be 'celebrating' his 40th birthday 10 points

So I calculate my total score to be 95 points ! I'm so proud! Can anyone else match me???

I might win the OW wooden spoon. Think this scores nul points

  • Half my height
  • Several years older than me and slightly older than him
  • Rather dumpy and no looker
  • Had unceremoniously dumped him 10 years earlier, breaking his heart.
  • Vegetarian (he was a confirmed meatophile)

Boy was I furious! Love is a many splendoured thing.

TwoIfBySea · 29/06/2011 07:57

Fit2drop I think you should be disqualified as you've got the outcome I think we can all only dream of. And oh how lovely and sweet a revenge that would be!

Currently my ex is winning and everything is on his side (even dumping OW with a toddler and newborn suits him perfectly!). So at the moment life just feels awful and such a struggle.

Knowing he was getting a healthy dose of Karma - bliss!

Sending good karma your way SoloIsAHotCougar

Not insensitive at all fit2drop. I'm sincerely hoping for karma to bite him in the ass ... (then again, my mother went through similar with my father and her "karma" was dying prematurely from cancer less than 2 weeks after her 40th birthday long before her children were all independent enough to give her the courage and ability to leave)

Unfortunately amicable, I'll be in the higher earning bracket, so not entitled to Working Tax Credits or the like - trust me, I've checked. That's the irony of London - you can be on what appears to be a great salary, but it just doesn't go that far once you take out childcare costs, travel costs, living costs, and rent/mortgage/loan payments. Still trying to think of a way to extricate ourselves from this mess, but so far, it just feels like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, at least for another 2 years.

One day, it'll all work out. Just not today.

Sapphirefling · 29/06/2011 10:21

Love it Grin

Can I award myself 50 bonus points for being referred to as a 'psycho' 4 days after finding out about the affair ?

I actually don't do to well on some of the other counts though - OW is shorter, fatter, has bad teeth and frizzy black hair. His friends tell me that she has the personality of a slug (bless them Smile ) Oh, and after ex dumped her the first time to come crawling back, she was an emotionally immature bunny boiler with an alcoholic abusive father (in his words) They have ongoing 'issues' in the bedroom (At some point he'll reset his email password Wink )

Sounds like loves young dream 'sigh'

amicable · 29/06/2011 10:57

Yey fit2, life can be sweet! Cogito, sounds like he was blinded by the being dumped 10 years earlier thing. Stupid arse!

Espera, how about moving into a house share with another mum? Got to be better?

Sapphire, but of course you were a psycho! That is the law Grin. Am loving your email, erm, administration. Excellent.

Twoifbythesea what was the biggest lie?

Mine told me that I didn't have anything to worry about because she was gay. While he was in fact sleeping with her. For over 2 years. But clearly I was paranoid and insecure.

Happy days of him talking about her all the fucking time, and buying her presents with our money. While I looked after our child as a defacto single parent and subsidised him on a part time wage to work away from home.

But it doesn't even start to compete with some of the behaviour on here.

Bast · 29/06/2011 11:07

I found out about X's affair the day before I gave birth our baby? (Pointage!)

I found out by seeing a video of them shagging, on his phone? (Ditto!)

He gave my baby and I an STD? (Macabre point score, that one.)

When she cornered me to sneer at my baby and I's 'misfortune', along with several of her scruntrat buddies, I (having been in and out of hospital throughout that same week, to try to save my babies eyesight and my own fertility) broke her nose.

(If I have points deducted for that, I'm not playing Grin)

childfreeatm · 29/06/2011 11:27

Bravo to you Bast I would have done the same to her!

DawnTiggaFashionGoddess · 29/06/2011 11:32

Ooooh can I join - many years ago now and the hurt is gone:

She was:

18

Blonde

My assistant

I caught him in bed with her (hairy arse going up and down and everything)

He claimed I had no sense of humour about it

HeavyHeidi · 29/06/2011 12:35

Tigga really, I certainly snorted at the "no sense of humour" comment :o

Diggs · 29/06/2011 12:49

I sort of wish mine had been younger and prettier . Instead she was 10 years older than me and probably ten stone heavier .

Im still not sure if thats worse or better Grin

amicable · 29/06/2011 12:51

Oh I don't know firepile, that is pretty dire!

Bast, good god what is wrong with these people! Giving your baby an STD, FFS Angry. A broken nose was entirely appropriate, shame you didn't give them a matching pair, what a pair of tw*ts

Dawn, 10 for 18, 5 for blonde, 25 for assistant, 50 for hairy arse action 100 for being told you had no sense of humour Shock. A grand 190* points!

TwoIfBySea · 29/06/2011 13:47

Good one Firepile but try these two - first is from the beginning, as if the affair wasn't lie enough. Bit long but keep track because despite the mess I was I had to!

He needed "space" away from the family...to be by himself...colleague "Steve" from work had spare room..."Steve" had a girlfriend A who was a nurse & needed someone who could walk the dogs while she and he were at work...Took dts to house...A was there...No "Steve"...Lie still being upheld and me still stupid, fat, clueless thing...Only unravelled the truth when dts talked about A boasting that she was "daddy's girlfriend"...It was then I found out he left me for her and some of the truth appeared.

Now for the most recent and spectacular:

He turns up after not speaking to dts since before Christmas and not seeing them since before Hallowe'en.

Apparently he has now dumped OW who gave birth to their 2nd son in January. (The boys didn't know they had another brother btw.) He has spent 4 months by himself which has been just what he needed...now for the corker...He has joined the Paras !!! And now lives in the South of France !!!

Because evidently the Paras have dropped standards so low now they'll accept a nearly 40 year old deadbeat dad who has never kept a job for longer than a year or so (longest was while married to me natch.) I couldn't help but laugh at that one.

Oh and good luck to OW in trying to get any maintenence for the brats she squeezed out as soon as she could to try and keep a hold of him. As Cicero once said -

Male parta male dilabuntur - What has been wrongly gained is wrongly lost. (Ill-gotten gains seldom prosper.)

Amicable can I thank you profusely for this thread it is amazingly cathartic!

Firepile · 29/06/2011 13:55

Bloody Hell, TwoIfBySea, that is spectacular.

FeelingOld · 29/06/2011 13:56

I wont win but i should get a few points hopefully Grin

She was blonde (out of a bottle)
skinny (i was bit overweight)
6 years younger
And she was my best friend Sad
I caught them in bed together on our 13th wedding anniversary when i got home early after my car broke down 3 miles into a 25 mile jouney to an appointment
The appointment was with my consultant for upping my dose of drugs as i was on fertility treatment trying to have our second child (dd was 3 at the time and conceived via fertility treatment)

I chucked him out and slapped her round the face!!

Firepile · 29/06/2011 13:59

At least mine had some relationship to reality as OW actually identified as gay (and actually came out to her parents during their on-off affair) even if she turns out to be bi...

Sapphirefling · 29/06/2011 13:59

Can absolutely recommend the email 'administration as therapy' For a supposedly intelligent man, it's amazing that he hasn't yet worked out quite 'WHY' I have uncovered every effort to move money, close bank accounts and attempts to cancel the mortgage without my permission Hmm

But if anyone knows of a godd sex therapist, he could really do with a recommendation because he's prepared to suffer ANY humiliation in order to make Little Miss Buck Teeth happy Grin

Firepile · 29/06/2011 14:01

Feelingold that must have been a bleak anniversary, all right. Scoring pretty high, I'd say.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 29/06/2011 14:14

Goodness! there are some rotten men around aren't there! I'm sorry for everyone who has been through this kind of crap. And yes! karma is a bitch!

So, shall I tell you all one of my other one(s)? I don't half pick them by the way; hence I am very single since the last one.

TwoIfBySea · 29/06/2011 14:15

How much better our lives are without out these wasters in them!

Four years on and I wish I could just conjure up the ideal man to look out for us and be part of our family - then I read these and maybe being alone forever is not so bleak!

SoloIsAHotCougar · 29/06/2011 14:18

i agree TwoIfBySea
