Well, can I just say that I was there last night. I had a perfect view. Just to clarify that she is the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. She is not big and nothing wobbles. Shes sex on legs tbh. The two guys stood near me where drooling from beginning to end. I bet there's fireworks in their bedroom. She has some moves on her. Wink

An interesting point is the two blokes that were drooling were mid forties. There were two guys in vip later who I overheard saying that she is manly!! Confused and these blokes where in their twenties. They thought she had big legs. Very sad.

For someone who thought she wasnt into Beyonce's style of music I would like to add that I knew every single thing she did except two new songs. She did a cracking version of Prince's Beautiful ones. I had completely forgot about Destinys Child. I think shes a fantastic role model for young women. I tell you, anyone that can go down to greet their fans whilst been overly handled by their bouncer and still remain note perfect is fine by me. She never paused for breath.

Im bowled over by her. Smile

I will be interested to see what its like on the telly tonight.

Thanks for that, Katkitya. Great to read a view from someone who was there.

I highly doubt that Beyonce has intentionally lightened her skin. She's mixed race AFAIK and her skin tone will change loads throughout the year. My H goes really quite pale in the UK winter and very black in the african summer. It's more likely that she's moved out of the US south into a cooler area and uses sun cream in the sun. When she was younger she was less image savvy and probably tanned more.

Just goes to show how we all interept beautiful differently.

If only the media would.recognise this then perhaps we could move away from the whippet look of most celebrities and judge more on actual talent rather than looks.

Beyonce is about as mixed race as is Michelle Obama. Beyonce's mom is AA and so is her dad. Her mom has family in Louisiana, so the mom may be of creole heritage - which means diddly squat in America since in 1894 legislation was passed that designated Creoles as black.

She has the same skin tone as my dp and my dd. dp has two black parents; dd has one.

I always find it Hmm that some white people work so bloody hard to change their skin colour, with sun beds, creams, lotions, injections, pills, but many get on their high horse at the mere idea that someone with a different skin colour might entertain the idea of doing so themselves.

Fat knees hey? shoot the woman, she is obviously an abhorrence....... Hmm

She looked hotter than cayenne pepper! There is no way her legs are fat, FFS. Her legs looked shapely and toned. I bet she could crack walnuts with those thighs (if so inclined!)
In fact, I will set the cat amongst the pigeons and say I think she was even more bootilicious in hot pants when she was carrying a bit more weight-ie as "Foxy Brown" in the Austin Powers film.

Nola - being politically black isn't the same as being ethnically black or ethnically mixed race. Beyonce is naturally pale which suggests she has white or pale skinned antecedents.

Eric - as far as Beyonce's ancestry goes, we don't know if the paleness came from an African albino or a Caucasian. I am several shades lighter than Beyonce - which I deem a fluke. Both my parents are brown. My Louisiana birth certificate says negro. No one in my extended family claims knowledge of white ancestry. I am ethnically black, politically black, culturally black and yet I constantly get mistaken for something else. It's unfair to guess about someone's ethnicity, as it's rarely a simple matter.

Fair dos
I was making assumptions based on her appearance which isn't really fair. but the fact is she's a light skinned black woman so has more scope for colour change due to sun exposure.

She looked amazing to me. It's always good to see female celebs that don't try to be too skinny. Love her legs and curious to know what exercises she is doing besides the dancing.

I honestly don't envy her legs. But then I don't really notice her legs. I am envious of her face though. She is incredibly beautiful. Can't stand the music however.

Why do people keep on going on about the fact that Jay Z is not good looking ?. The man is an intelligent, hardworking and appears to adore his wife. If women married men based on these characteristics, there wouldn't so many relationship break ups.

PS: Beyonce is absolutely amazing and has a fantastic figure. My dh was drooling last night

Seriously, forehead?

The thread was started about someone's looks. So I don't see a problem with the thread continuing in that vein. Jay Z is not particularly physically attractive. Nobody said he was stupid, lazy or didn't love his wife.

forehead · 27/06/2011 22:21

It felt like some posters were insinuating that he didn't deserve to be with her, as he was not attractive. If a man had written some of these posts , we would be slagging him off and then coming out with the old adage ofn 'beauty being on the inside'

I thought she created some stirr some years ago by saying that she starved herself to look like that. My DP likes curvy girls and says she looks like a fat woman screaming to get out. His words.

I do think she looks AMAZING, but looks like she works out like hell and doesn't touch and onze of chocolate to look like that and to me thats not quality of life. So I admire, but am not envious at all, I think we could all potentially look like that if we made the sacrifices she makes and work as hard as her.

To be fair, if a man had started this thread there would have been a whole world of feminist screeching.

Thought she was absolutely mesmerising and a brilliant role model for young girls. Happily married, works hard, never seen falling out of rehab AND proof that only size zero is attractive is a load of tosh !!

If a man started a thread saying that Beyonce has amazing legs? I wouldn't do feminist screeching...I'd agree.

When Beyonce came on the scene I was so glad because of her legs!

Just to explain I have always had muscly limbs - take after my dad. Until the late 90s it always seemed that women who were praised for their looks had the sort of legs I would never have unless I had a muscle wasting illness. In fact at one point I lost lots of weight and was a stone underweight but still thought my legs were too chunky Hmm.

I was nicknamed "thunder thighs" at school and terribly self-conscious of my legs in my teens...always felt like a man in drag in heels...fortunately DMs and pumps were in at that time... now I'm not saying my legs are like Beyonce's but, well, I now accept they look quite nice when toned, or even if they are a bit wobbly, so what, and I shouldn't feel bad about getting them out!
