Some posters pop up on threads of varied and often complicated topics and manage to have a well formed opinion on it, know all the facts and figures and put their point accross eloquently? Makes me feel a bit dim at times Blush AIBU?

[also smug as she is sat in dh's flight deck jersey and a banana clip that appears to have survived the 1980's and ended up in my hair....]

Bohica, no it's the random nobbers actively looking for fisticuffs that are vexing me Grin also what's with all the cyclist threads ..... is cycling the new breastfeeding?

Look BOF actually has a guide to the shrug Chaos!!!!!

and it has her picture too

ShowOfHands · 19/06/2011 23:08

Self service should be said in a breathy husk, yet demonstrated in a firm manner. With a lean forward whilst peering over your specs. With tousled hair if possible. Perhaps a pencil behind your ear on which you will lightly suck whilst demonstrating the correct way to confidently insert a text into the requisite hole of aforementioned machine. Feck me being a librarian's sexy.

[delusional]

microserf · 19/06/2011 23:10

some of us are just true polymaths, you know Grin

Pumpernickel10 · 19/06/2011 23:12

I know everything, as I'm fucking great and clever but I won't tell you what I know as it's top secret, so torturing me won't work.
If I don't know it I make it up :)

BitOfFun · 19/06/2011 23:28

Honey dragon Grin

Showy, I quite fancy you now...

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 08:26

It's because we spend too much time on the internet - nearly every conversation has come up before in one form or another.

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 08:32

You know what, I was so expecting a bitchy thread.

How come the same people pop up on every thread, talking like they know everything, acting like the own the place?

That kind of thing

kreecherlivesupstairs · 20/06/2011 08:42

I know stuff because I am old and have been around the block.

AnyFucker · 20/06/2011 09:43

I am a mother

of course I know everything Smile

EggyAllenPoe · 20/06/2011 09:56

aright there Mother Fucker..

not quite what i meant to say

AnyFucker · 20/06/2011 09:57
Smile
ShowOfHands · 20/06/2011 11:26

BoF, that is the correct response. Later, I'll release my bun from its pinned up prison and shake my hair, whip off my glasses and just settle into my striking yet still bookish good looks which up until this point my strict demeanour has only hinted at. You will of course be prostrate with desire by this point.

[fantasist]

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 12:53

I am feeling inspired to do some librarian chic tomorrow.

(today I am not at work so no-one would be around to appreciate it)

AnyFucker · 20/06/2011 13:59

I think I am channelling librarian chic today, in fact

I have a long skirt on, a grey vest top and one of those long grey short-sleeved cardi's with the white edging

I have my glasses on (can't be arsed with contacts today)

oh, and Birkenstocks

Smile

AnyFucker · 20/06/2011 14:08

I have a great deal of affection for librarians

one of my closest school friends became one

she dresses just like a librarian though, there is absolutely no denying it Smile

Do you guys all know each other from mumsnet or are you friends in RL too?

As for knowing everything I have gathered that if I listen to radio four, hang around on mumsnet and wait the 10 years til I'm forty I will know everything Grin something to look forward to!

RL?

There is no RL.

Once you're hooked on MN, you can kiss that goodbye.
