Some posters pop up on threads of varied and often complicated topics and manage to have a well formed opinion on it, know all the facts and figures and put their point accross eloquently? Makes me feel a bit dim at times Blush AIBU?

i type one handed. the other is usually holding a glass of Wine or [beer]. i could use capitals if i wanted to. i just don't. doesn't detract from my general perfecton though.

BoffinMum · 19/06/2011 22:02

Some of us do it for a living ... spout off believeably, that is. Grin

StarChartEsq · 19/06/2011 22:03

You know what? I know quite a lot about some specific things, and the reason for it is MN, and daring to post in an arrogant way about things I really didn't know much about (but thought I did) and being slated for it and corrected.

Once the wounds were licked I'd found I'd learned something and was able to pass it on.

EggyAllenPoe · 19/06/2011 22:03

listening to radio4 for long enough, you learn everything.

mightybright · 19/06/2011 22:04

EggyAllenPoe - my dad says the same thing!

mightybright your names makes you sound intelligent, can't think why.

The key word is "seem". All is not always as it seems. But there are sometimes hidden gems in piles of bullshit.

I don't claim to know anything except that I have experience with my own kids.

My username is a permanent warning not to take me seriously Smile

ChaosTrulyReigns · 19/06/2011 22:05

Oh Eggy - were you full of culteredness at birth, or did you take exams?

Wink
ChaosTrulyReigns · 19/06/2011 22:06

Has anyone seen Hec around recntly, she'd fit right in on this thread?

AtYourCervix · 19/06/2011 22:06

yes where is blody Hec? I miss her. I'd like to be HEc when I grow up.

mightybright · 19/06/2011 22:07

Asinine - It is a bit of a misleading name... I do want to change it but can't be bothered to think of something witty/cool/unique Grin

Are they things you know they're right on though? Because you get many people on forums who are amazingly confident but don't actually know what they're talking about.

Also, on internet forums all over the world people talk about pretty much the same things so if your a seasoned forum user you just pick things up. I wouldn't be too in awe.

Pumpernickel10 · 19/06/2011 22:08

I'm special and I'm the chosen one :)

Honeydragon · 19/06/2011 22:09

ChaosTrulyReigns · 19/06/2011 22:09
