Every time I do the weekly shop I buy breadbuns to make sandwiches with during the week. They come in packs of 6. I slice them and put them in bags of 4 so that we can just get them out each night and make 2 sandwiches each for the next day. Today I bought 2 packs of 6, so 12 buns, 3 bags of 4. Except I have just done the last bag and there are only 3 in that bag Confused. I am sure I would have noticed if one pack had originally only had 5 in. but I can't find it anywhere

Did you use it in a Mnet bunfight and forget?

StealthPolarBear · 18/06/2011 22:59

be SERIOUS

OP posts:
UniS · 18/06/2011 22:59

pixies stole it and are now white water rafting down the brook on it.

AgentZigzag · 18/06/2011 23:00

Don't put yourself down Stealth, that's not dull Grin

I love a mystery Grin

Are you sure there were 6 in each bag?

Could anyone have sneaked in and pilfered one when you weren't looking?

HauntedLittleLunatic · 18/06/2011 23:01

has it mutated into a apple? Grin

AgentZigzag · 18/06/2011 23:02

Oh come on Uni, be serious, Stealth has a problem that needs constructive input.

Honestly, MN these days

ConnorTraceptive · 18/06/2011 23:02

Sounds like a gcse maths question

if stealth buys 2 packs of buns and each pack has 6 buns in ..............

StealthPolarBear · 18/06/2011 23:02

Well I didn't count them, but if you imagine a pack of 6 breadbuns, flat in a 3x2 formation, you'd notice fairly easily if there were only 5 iyswim

No, DCs in bed, as is DH, and he;s not the sort to eat bread in the middle of the night...I am - it was me, wasn't it?

Actually I think Honeydragon was probbaly right to begin with

OP posts:
AgentZigzag · 18/06/2011 23:03

And a bread bun would have disintegrated in water Uni, the pixies would have used something much more hardy.

They're not stoopid you know Hmm

onepieceofcremeegg · 18/06/2011 23:03

Do you have a pet/dog that could have eaten it (or your dp?)
Once I left an open ham sandwich on the windowsill at my mum's and a few moments later the bread was there but the ham gone and butter licked off Shock

This is not dull btw Grin

StealthPolarBear · 18/06/2011 23:04

And what I meant was dull was the detail of my administration of the household weekly sandwich allowance, complete with slicing for speedt assembly :o But it was an integral part of the tale :)

OP posts:
onepieceofcremeegg · 18/06/2011 23:04

Do any of the remaining ones look a bit odd/larger than normal, so it looked as if there were 6 at first glance, but really there were only 5 in the pack?

Gooseberrybushes · 18/06/2011 23:05

excellent

no idea but excellent

did you eat it when you weren't looking

onepieceofcremeegg · 18/06/2011 23:06

I am interested in your domestic arrangements (only because I should be sorting out my own such as emptying tumble dryer etc) Grin
What do your dcs have for lunch, if you only make 2 rolls each for you and your dh?

outnumbered2to1 · 18/06/2011 23:07

hash dit mabee fallshen on t floorrr......?

Honeydragon · 18/06/2011 23:07

Has the bag split and ones lurking in a carrier bag/bottom of cupboard?

StealthPolarBear · 18/06/2011 23:08

no, no mutants opol :o

DCs have nursery dinners or doting GPs cook for them or take them out. We are liucky I know.
And in fact it;s only been the last month or so they eat my sandwiches (always eaten nursery sandwiches Angry) so a good thing, really

Yes Hd, I think you're robably right. This place is a tip, no doubt it will turn up when I tidy

AgentZigZag

Now I've made a serious suggestion, may I revert back to being a arse?

Please?

Pumpernickel10 · 18/06/2011 23:10

I stole it :(

Bohica · 18/06/2011 23:10

You have large baps.

QueeferSutherland · 18/06/2011 23:12

Has it fallen down your cleavage?

Honeydragon · 18/06/2011 23:13

This is turning into who killed cock robin? Grin

outnumbered2to1 · 18/06/2011 23:14

don't know what you mean stealth

lol Grin

onepieceofcremeegg · 18/06/2011 23:15

On a slight tangent my dd2 (3) tells me she doesn't mind sandwiches, as long as I don't expect her to eat the actual bread. She has taken to picking off the peanut butter/nutella or whatever with her fingers. Thankfully clearing up after tea is dh's job.
