Every time I do the weekly shop I buy breadbuns to make sandwiches with during the week. They come in packs of 6. I slice them and put them in bags of 4 so that we can just get them out each night and make 2 sandwiches each for the next day. Today I bought 2 packs of 6, so 12 buns, 3 bags of 4. Except I have just done the last bag and there are only 3 in that bag Confused. I am sure I would have noticed if one pack had originally only had 5 in. but I can't find it anywhere

Bloody hell, I hope you've not got <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=images1.fanpop.com/images/photos/1600000/Funny-Food-food-1688529-500-382.jpg&imgrefurl=www.armchairgeneral.com/forums/showthread.php%3Ft%3D95778&usg=__vrlD0n4Q44BkdRc0zgJ25gm-GiI=&h=382&w=500&sz=102&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=f9P6MsMYsMb3PM:&tbnh=131&tbnw=168&ei=UiX9Td_qL4Xesgbb0_jxDQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dfunny%2Bbread%2Bbuns%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1146%26bih%3D697%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=619&vpy=146&dur=821&hovh=131&hovw=168&tx=99&ty=110&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0&biw=1146&bih=697" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">this one or you're fucked.

2am comes and you hear creaking noises on the stairs, you'll know what it is

My advice is take a toaster to bed with you.

"I slice them and put them in bags of 4" thats was she says, so does she then put them in 2 smaller bags for 2 buns each, meaning lots of bags used costing £2 in total.

Must admit to being rather impressed with the efficiency of your bun storage and distribution system.

Mine is as follows
fresh = suitable for lunch's
Dry = toast for breakfast
blotchy = ducks

You may.

I don't want to unsettle you Stealth, but you've not got any lurking zombies have you?

(You can tell if you have if there's an overwhelming rotting flesh smell and you're finding random body parts when hoovering up)

Whenever anything goes missing in my house I check DD's toy kitchen - I always find what I'm looking for in the oven bit of it. I was hours late for work once because I'd lost 1 of each pair of my work shoes. They were both in the toy oven.

She only puts 2 buns in a bag (2 lunches). Pay attention, you at the back! But tomorrow's lunch will be a bun and a half each ...
... hang on, it's Saturday night! You've got all day tomorrow to salvage The Lost Bun from behind the cooker.

Put that one in DH's bag Grin

Iike the fact you aim not to waste your bread buns, I'm always wasting bread. Can I ask what bags you buy to put your 4 buns in, sound quite large?

sorry I was just passing your kitchen worktop and ate it.... Didnt realise you had a bread roll system.

Feel guilty now..

Good point, Bohica. Were you wearing "chicken fillets", OP? Check bra for bun, and fridge for a neatly-sliced cup stuffer.

On a slight tangent my dd2 (3) tells me she doesn't mind sandwiches, as long as I don't expect her to eat the actual bread. She has taken to picking off the peanut butter/nutella or whatever with her fingers. Thankfully clearing up after tea is dh's job.

I am interested in your domestic arrangements (only because I should be sorting out my own such as emptying tumble dryer etc) Grin
What do your dcs have for lunch, if you only make 2 rolls each for you and your dh?

Do any of the remaining ones look a bit odd/larger than normal, so it looked as if there were 6 at first glance, but really there were only 5 in the pack?
