To think you are all bullies on here and very foul

Decided after being here for a whole month how hostile you are to newbies and how bitchy you are.
I've never heard so much swearing in my life and you call yourself adults?
So I'm off to Netmums to a more mature forum.
Have fun insulting each other :)

Sheesh you even have a better class of emoticon

berylmuspratt · 17/06/2011 23:43

I enjoy the swearing on here and find it all very educational. For example, I had no idea what vinegar strokes were until very recently. Thank you Mumsnet.

Actually - I've been on here for nearly a year or so - (had 2 other names and the present one was an accidental "permanent" namechange - cos I is stupid innit and didn't know how to change back) - and I have read some amazing threads on here.

An MNer who had ended up looking after a baby and had no formula late at night- MN advised and supported her.
Posters at the end of their tether who have been talked to and helped by lovely kind people.
Posters seeking reassurance who have been uplifted by the advice and help offered.

OP - you are so wrong! I got criticised on some early posts but you know what? I'm a mature adult and I can cope. If you are not a mature adult then a site that has primary school glitter and stickers is probably more up your street.

PrettyCandles · 18/06/2011 00:33

Hey, Iamoftone, thanks so much for flouncing. You have triggered one of the funniest threads I have read in ages.

Grin
Mumcentreplus · 18/06/2011 00:48

I think we should all look in the mirror and take stock..

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 18/06/2011 00:53

Must I look in the mirror? It's scary!

Mumcentreplus · 18/06/2011 00:59

Yess...to truly take stock of your bad behavior and obvious issues we must all look in the mirror... and decides she obviously a bitch...

NoobyNoob · 18/06/2011 12:14

YANBU to an extent.

There have been some right twats on here recently.

jugglingwiththreeshoes · 18/06/2011 12:23

Kallista If you want lively, funny, and intelligent, you can't do better than reclaiming the C word IMHO Wink

Pumpernickel10 · 18/06/2011 14:07

I'm a bitch at times and admit it

TheMotherOfReinfection · 18/06/2011 14:16

MumCentrePlus - well I have taped up all my mirrors after MrsShadenfrau forced us to look into them chin-s- first so I can't see the bitch for the chins.

omnishambles · 18/06/2011 16:41

Just back from Morrisons with breaking cardboard cutout news.

There was a rather fetching WPC cutout by the entrance that caught me out completely. I was too taken aback to put any of the 'doing an alan' into practice.

SuePurblybilt · 18/06/2011 17:03

What is WPC? Never mind, I want one. Go right back and steal liberate some for the good of MN.

omnishambles · 18/06/2011 17:50

Sorry a WPC - you know, a female police officer. It feels wrong to steal a cutout of a police officer though - its taking the piss a bit isnt it? Grin

SuePurblybilt · 18/06/2011 17:52

No, it is teaching them a valuable lesson Grin. Get you now re WPC, I thought it shorthand for some sleb I didn't know.

Video shops used to be good for cut-outs. And big book shops. Or cinemas.

omnishambles · 18/06/2011 18:14

Maybe we should start a blog - cut outs we have seen. Or in SpringheeledJacks case, interacted with.

youarekidding · 18/06/2011 18:34

Is there some conspiracy going on here?

Is MNHQ starting all these threads in the hope we'll al stop swearing and agreeing with posters who are right but just happen to have been here for years?

Nope? Thought not.

If you want to leave then leave. But for the life of me I can't work out why you'd start a thread under a new username to announce it. Confused

Yes theres swearing, yes theres groups of MN who are familiar with each other and agree but I have not ever seen what I'd call bullying. (I have been here a long time but namechange everyfew months to keep myself anon)

I saw one of the fitness ones, someone off Corrie I think, in somewhere like WH Smiths and it was hilariously funny - think rictus grin and legwarmers. I would have like to have nicked that one.

Do lets start a blog. People need to know.

omnishambles · 18/06/2011 19:25

I will think on it - shame we cant put photos in threads.

Must go now my beloved old telly just caught fire and turned itself off. Thoughtful to the last.

However I need to spend the rest of the evening moving the one from upstairs and swearing fixing all the cable wires etc. gah.

MotherPanda · 18/06/2011 19:29

I would just like to say that mumsnet has been very welcoming to me, a newbie. I think if you say offensive things, or don't spell words correctly, or use text language, or post against the mumsnet ethos - then harsh words can come your way... and rightly so.

So, thanks Mumsnet, Brew and Biscuit all round :)
