Have to say Ciara had less problems than me.Lol.
I remember my first day working in Manchester and my collegues getting me to say my name very very slowly, over and over. But they made the effort and by the time i was leaving I had taught them a good bit of Irish too.The funny looks they'd get shouting slan at me,or saying Conas ata tu?and me answering Ta me go maith go rabh maith agat agus tu fein?.Or our favoured Nil fhis agam.
slan -slawn means goodbye
Conas ata tu - cun-as a-taw two means how are you
Ta me go maith go rabh maith agat agus tu fein? - taw may gu maaw gu ruv maaw agut aw-gus two fay-n means I am good thanks, and yourself?
Nil fhis agam - neel is agum means I don't know
