nor would i spend that much on a dress, tbh, unless it was for a veh special occasion, but i'm just going to keep an eye out for a bit of consensus rather than price or my own personal style judgement (as i said, there were a number of people who had the dress on the thread, in fact one was wearing it As She Typed) and they absolutely loved it. and the person who got it was wearing it to a wedding.
jigsaw do have good sales, however, so having flagged it i am going to check to see if it's around then fo sho.
and the top shop nail varnish isn't expensive afaia, that's why i put it in, to give a breadth of price with the more designery polishes. still, all of this is helpful and constructive and i will definitely bear it in mind, so thanks. 
i think it's a bit of a work in progress, tbh, esp the layout, so consider all feedback fed back iykwim.
