Of late I've been come so shocked at the bullying and racism on this site.
Latest two that have since been deleted taking the piss out of gypsies.
So what if a user is either a gypsy, Jewish, asian it doesn't give you the right to belittle. I read the posts lastnight regarding one user and about her being a gypsy. It's attitudes like this that starts persecution. The nazis did this they persecuted millions of jews, handicapped, gypsies. I am utterly shocked and disaapointed at how you so called adults act it's nothing sort of playground bullying. Who on earth would want to join here with that attitude??????

While some comments may get a little out of hand, I am not convinced that a couple of 'racist' threads on MN can really be likened to the Nazi's mass persecution, can they?

I never realised MN had such power, but surely most people on here would be too pissed to do anything about in RL anyway.

You appear to have fallen into the trap of seeing what you want to see, rather than putting what you see into context and gaining an overview of what is actually happening before your eyes.

IMO, the 'bullying and racism' that you claim to have observed exists only in the minds of those who worship at the altar of political correctmess, and those who were not blessed by the humour fairy* rather than being evidence of ethnic cleansing by stealth.

*Bill Hicks and Lenny Bruce have been known to kickstart a previously non-existent sense of humour but, at the very least, they may enlarge narrow minds.

The OP in the second thread 'apologising' appears to brandish her 1/8 ( her great grandmother was Romany) Romany heritage like a shield which enables her to be as offensive as she likes to others (telling people that the nurseries they use are 'day orphanages' or if their elderly relatives deserve proper medical care outside of a home environment they have abandoned them) on whatever grounds she likes, because as soon as someone is offended and calls her on it, she accuses them of being racist. Well in that case, she is obviously anti-Australian, anti-Welsh and anti-Pakistani because that's my family mix and just because I disagree with her, according to her logic, she is being discriminatory.

Please read the threads again in full. I have encountered racism on her before and this is not it. Instead, some posters decided the OP was being inflammatory for the sake of it (hence calling troll) and the rest of us started a horrific session of karaoke. Also I am definitely NOT MN Royalty (frequent namechanger, joined in 2009), lurk a lot, post less, and guess what....they let me join in? I can only conclude "The Clique" has let its standards drop.
