Its awkward, it itches like a bastard when it grows back and looks daft but DP REALLY likes it, and it has a forgone conclusion AIBU to do something that i dont particularly like to arouse my partner - akin to making him a cup of tea, its nice to do things for people you love. Speaking from lots and lots of life experience ... I would say never do anything you don't want to sexually.

You will always end up diminished by your collusion or acceptance of something that doesn't feel right, however popular or accepted it is in porn, etc.

I shave mine because I prefer it. It's easy and I don't have to mess around with it. Plus I feel more hygienic somehow. My husband doesn't mind it either way.

I don't know about for him but I do it for me, I itch if not and it just feels generally horrid!. It's more hygienic if you shave IMO.

In answer to your OP, yes I do do things for my DH which are effort for me but nice for him (cups of tea, some sexual things), but NOTHING that I don't want to do and certainly nothing that would make me feel physically uncomfortable. There is no way I could remove all my public hair to please him.

Surely your stubble would be more uncomfortable for him than the natural hair growth - I'm thinking of kissing beardy man vs stubble man.
