Thanks huns and lovelies Wink. I actually do feel grateful for support on slightly silly issue (I know it's just a cat, but thanks for understanding).

I am really grateful for all help and advice, so actually, if this thread was too fluffy, I don't care. Cx

I really hope your cat turns up safe and well. I lost one of mine for a week a few years ago and he had been locked in neighbours shed whilst they were away. If yoy haven't done so already get all the neighbours to check theirs, they will think you are insane but so what.

Hope he comes home, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

floweryblue · 07/06/2011 01:07

CRS everyone on this thread is nearly as worried about your lost cat as you are. We've all been there and felt what you are feeling now.

We know that any other references are personal to you and don't in any way belittle anyone else's suffering. You are allowed to feel how you feel and don't you dare be ashamed of it.

CRS · 07/06/2011 01:14

Thank you - not leaving thread for any reason other than bed! Cx

Ps worrying about your cat is Not silly! I have
tried not to get too attached to mine - but i am and would be so upset in your position.
I can't get PG atm so i fuss over my cat.
Caring for her has helped me recover from depression.
So you are not being silly :-).

Mine went missing for 3 days last year and I was in bits. He is an indoor cat, terrified of people (except family) and is normally too scared to go beyond back door. I'm not sure where he was, as I scoured the neighbourhood night and day screaming his name, but he showed up hiding beneath some wood in the garden on the third day (i had checked there before so hadn't been there all along!).
Good luck, hope you find him soon.

CAT BACK!!! He sauntered in about 45 minutes ago looking sleek and well fed! Last time I make a missing poster/act like a deranged loon over the fucker again! (SOOO pleased though! - thanks to all who were so kind with replies).

feels totally ridiculous

Fecklessdizzy · 07/06/2011 23:53

Yay! Grin

DaphneHeartsFred · 07/06/2011 23:53

No such thing as ridiculous when it comes to cats.

I didn't see this thread before, but I'm still glad he's back. Ground him.

Grin
CRS · 07/06/2011 23:57

He's totally grounded and is not even allowed to PHONE his mates now!

shineoncrazydiam0nd · 07/06/2011 23:57

Umm told you! Grin

BustersOfDoom · 08/06/2011 00:00

Oh fantastic news! I am so pleased for you!!!

And no, there was/is nothing wrong with crying over the loss of a cat. I have cried for every one I've known and loved.

CRS · 08/06/2011 00:00

Yes, alright! Grin Learnt lesson!

OP posts:
CRS · 08/06/2011 00:01

That was to shineon - I am REALLY HAPPY - he is curled up on my knee as we type - the stupidly unaware bugger!

OP posts:
CRS · 08/06/2011 00:02

Do I just take the posters down or write "Found" in permanent marker?

OP posts:
izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 08/06/2011 00:08

That's a plan; take his mobile and xbox off him, and ban him from FB for the next month.

So glad he's back - but hang on to those posters 'cos if he's anything like mine he'll do exactly the same thing once he's let out again, and will turn up on the doorstep hours/days later looking extremely pleased with himself while I look like a tear-stained demented wreck thanks to his absence

BustersOfDoom · 08/06/2011 00:08

Ah cats are just fab.

It's the way they can lick their arse whilst looking at you as if to say 'What? I'm a bit busy here if you hadn't noticed'

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 08/06/2011 00:11

Quietly take the posters down in the dead of night and create a file for Cat Missing Again - hope you don't need it but no cause to cut down more trees if the great lummox goes walkabout again.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 08/06/2011 00:18

Hooray!! Grin So pleased he came back (thought he might!)

CRS · 08/06/2011 00:19

I'm ludicrously happy - I was down at my friend's house and suddenly partner and son appeared at door shouting "He's back! He's back! Come home quick, look!".

And cat was just there going "What?" Grin

OP posts:
fridakahlo · 08/06/2011 00:33

Yay for him coming home! Smile

startail · 08/06/2011 00:41

Grin A happy ending just before bed, perfect.
And no uanbu to be upset that he wandered off. In his soppy moments DH still speaks fondly of his boyhood cat.

bobblehead · 08/06/2011 01:01

I took mine down but whatever is quicker!

CRS · 08/06/2011 01:01

Good night and thank you all love from C curled up with BOTH her cats in bed (this will not be allowed again)!
