I boil up quite slowly... but would it have been worse to tell her what a cow she was?

are you the woman who wants to get a co-op worker fired by any chance ?

LineRunner · 04/06/2011 00:34

It's all a bit moot, really. Presumably, you didn't.

BooyHoo · 04/06/2011 00:35

what has her size got to do with anything?

tallwivglasses · 04/06/2011 00:38

Would what have been worse? What did she say?

vanessasmum · 04/06/2011 00:39

i never said i wanted her fired, which i don't. but it is interesting that you bring it up,
it isn't entirely irrelevant, is it?

i don't think i should have stood there and not responded when she was abusive toward my kid... what does that tell her, that i won't stand up for her?. but equally i think it would not have been good for her if i had to a row with the woman... where is the balance?

vanessasmum · 04/06/2011 00:40

she said " I've only got one good leg! Jesus Christ!" the metro was quite crowded, and we has a lot of bags, and she was standing in the luggage area. I was quite shocked.

And the swearing bit?

vanessasmum · 04/06/2011 00:48

my kid, i mean, she said sorry in just the right tone of apologetic and shocked. i was very proud of her

OP posts:
BooyHoo · 04/06/2011 00:48

it doesn't sound abusive to me. sorry but i think calling her a fat cow for that is a massive over reaction.

LineRunner · 04/06/2011 00:48

usual suspect Have a tequila with a mescal worm in the bottom. I find that does the trick on the odd occasion.

LineRunner · 04/06/2011 00:49

I would rather be called Jesus Christ than a fat cow.

tomhardyismydh · 04/06/2011 00:49

x post you are not the other op.

also jesus christ is not swearing. is it? probably not the language I would want a 6 yr old to hear granted but not enough to then call her a cow in front of a 6 yr old. double standards

BooyHoo · 04/06/2011 00:50

you were proud of your child for apologising in teh right tone? Hmm

erm, we are supposed to apologise when we hurt people, it isn't above and beyond teh call of duty. nothing to be proud of.

tomhardyismydh · 04/06/2011 00:51

x post again, grr you lot are quick tonight.

BitOfFun · 04/06/2011 00:51

"i never said i wanted her fired, which i don't. but it is interesting that you bring it up,

please, PLEASE explain how it is relevant? please?

vanessasmum · 04/06/2011 00:51

don't you think the swearing is in the venomous tone of voice? I avoid jesus as an offensive term,,,, quite like him really,
