Was just on UK hot deals and a link of Ann Summers came up. I clicked on it as it had 75% off. Started browsing and came across school uniforms. Why on earth would a grown adult want to dress as a school girl. It's morally wrong to me. I know I'm am being very unreasonable but needed to rant about it.

OP posts:
BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 20:32

canny i really do not intend to be inflammatory. i respond to OP's with my own opinion and MN being a huge community means that my opinion will not always be the same as what otehr people think.

i think some people can find it hard to accept that something they have enjoyed in the past may have some not so pleasant connotations attatched to it. i have said on teh thread that i believe tehre is the "returning to your youth" aspect of it. i haven't denied taht for many people this is what tehy find appealing but i think it is very naive to believe taht there is not also the other aspect of the appeal, and that is the taboo of an underage child which some people find attractive. this exists!! we are all wise enough to know that tehre are people who get their kicks out of sexualising kids to varying degrees. this fact makes the whole 'school girl look' creepy to me.

pigletmania · 30/05/2011 20:32

I dressed up as a naughty school girl at a party a few years ago, does that make me a paedo lusting after kids Hmm

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 20:34

"people dress up in uniform for a bit of a laugh and fun, not because they lust after young kids"

some people.

others do it because they do lust after kids.

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:34

"naughty schoolgirl"

Whether it's 13, 15, or 17, don't you think that it's a bit grim to attach those sort of connotations to clothes that children have to wear to get their education?

Nurses and policewomen are not generally happy with the connotations of their uniforms AFAIK. So how is it OK for children who have not even left school yet?

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:39

Are you deliberately misunderstanding, piglet?

People dressing up in this gear does not mean they fancy schoolchildren.

The fact that this particular "look" exists is because lots and lots of people do fancy schoolchildren. Talking girls over about 13. We have all been schoolgirls, we all know this is true. I would defy any female in the UK to say that she never got a single wolf-whistle, shout, leer, proposition, inappropriate comment or anything between the age of 13 and 16, while in school uniform. OK you might be able to find 1, or 2. But not lots. This stuff is normal in society.

Are people seriously trying to say that there are hardly any men out there who find girls this age attractive?

Why that thing in the Sun then?
Why the "barely legal" porn?

cannydoit · 30/05/2011 20:42

yes there are people out there that sexualis children. but to say that every man that has asked his partner to dress up as a school girl has fantasy's of children is plainly ridiculous. i personally have not dressed up as a school girl but i would if my partner asked because sex is suppose to be about fun, there would be some other quite clear warning signs if you were with some one that had those proclivities and they were asking you to do odd things within the bedroom.

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:43

cannydoit this makes me very frustrated.

Because no-one on this thread has said that.

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 20:46

who on earth said every man who asks his partner to dress up as a school girl has fantasies of children?

Serenitysutton · 30/05/2011 20:47

Youth is attractive. Can't see why anyone would deny that

cannydoit · 30/05/2011 20:49

sorry if i have misunderstood this post --BooyHoo Mon 30-May-11 17:30:05
this has been around along time.

i agree with you OP a school uniform means a child. which means your fantasy is to be with a child sexually. there is something very, very wrong with that.--

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:51

This "look" is to do with school uniform and sex. "Sexy schoolgirls".

"Attractive" is a very wide word. My 3yo is very attractive. I don't think people should be encouraged to look at her in a sexual way though.

Girls have to wear uniform to school. The prevalence of this "look" legitimises the idea that girls in school uniform are "sexy". It is a boaksome idea to have out there as a mainstream, accepted concept.

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 20:53

yes canny, if i was asked to dress up as a school girl i would consider that as the person wishing me to look like a child in a sexual scenario.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 30/05/2011 20:54

I agree with cannydoit there seems to be a really bizarre culture of thinking everyone is a pedophile for some reason or other.
I think it's sexy and can see why men would not something I would rule out totally if DH asked. But there is also a difference to an actual school uniform and the kind of thing u would wear for role play.

I doubt actual schoolgirls wear hold ups, stockings or suspenders, nor do they undo the top couple of buttons on their shirt to show fully developed ADULT breasts for eg.

When I was at school I wore 2 or 3 pairs of tights (style was that you couldn't see a bit of skin through the black, admittedly skirt was v short but with a White shirt and tie and school jumper none of which were fitted as that wasn't allowed. Knee high socks were banned at my school. And I never got a comment or wolf whistle whilst in uniform from an adult male, when I was out at the weekend with friends at 16 I did get male attention

I refuse to believe that every1 is a peado

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:54

The argument seems to be that it's OK as some schools have uniform in the sixth form.

So it's OK to present these young women as all gagging temptresses? If they are 16 it's fine but 15 not? Why legitimise skaggy old men leching over young girls? How is that fun?

Also no-one has explained why if this relates to 17 and 18 yo the Sun did their countdown to 16th birthday thing.

I don't actually understand why people on this thread are denying the fact that lots of men are attracted to teenagers? Confused

Serenitysutton · 30/05/2011 20:56

Of course not all girls in school uniform are attractive - there are as many ugly school children as there are ugly adults. But people in early adulthood generally look the best they ever will.

This is actually a ridiculous thread, I'm not even sure why I'm participating in it. None of you know about the psychology of sexual fantasy, you're only dressing your opinion up as fact.

cannydoit · 30/05/2011 20:57

that isnt what your post says, your post says "be with a child sexually". so i took it at face value.

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 20:58

When I walk to work which is near the school I see the stares, looks and occasionally shouts/comments that the schoolgirls get.

When I was a schoolgirl all sorts of things happened.

This thread is bizarre.

Why are people so determined not to entertain the possibility that the "sexy schoolgirl" image / look exists because lots of people think schoolgirls are sexy? Isn't it just quite an obvious and straightforward answer?

And if lots of men don't actually fancy girls this age then please someone explain the Sun's countdown to 16th birthday thing.

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 20:59

having a fantasy of being with a child sexually is very different from asking someone to look like a child in a sexual scenario is it?

cannydoit · 30/05/2011 21:00

no one is claiming to be a psychologist serenity.

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 21:00

Serenity that is a really peculiar post.

Serenitysutton · 30/05/2011 21:00

Ffs sardine queen many on here have agreed that school girls are attractive And men and women find them so, and noone else gives a shit about the suns countdown.

SardineQueen · 30/05/2011 21:01

Serenity. We are not talking about attractive. We are talking about sexually attractive.

cannydoit · 30/05/2011 21:03

it would be impossible for me to look like a child in any scenario thats the point, but you post still didnt say that, which i think you know, thats why you are refusing to comment on it.

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 21:04

i have commented on it Confused

BooyHoo · 30/05/2011 21:04

ah right, i think you meant to say "you haven't commented to my satisfaction"
