My theory is that SC can't find a decent 4th judge for the UK, is worried about the backlash now that DM has left and has decided to stick CC back in the UK. He probably always had a back up plan of putting NS in as reserve judge if the US didn't take to CC, which to me seemed blindingly obvious anyway. I just never imagined the US taking to Chezza.

I've never seen it, american x-factor, but I think they've really messed her around. It wouldn't do the americans any harm to occasionally be exposed to an accent. They just can't cope with accents. We are all used to Scottish, Irish, London, welsh, Australian and so on and so on.

I hope this isn't pegged as 'casual anti-americanism' but I think it's ridiculous tbh. I'm sure that if she was speaking with an american audience in mind they would have understood her.....!!!!

I know what you are saying Valium but as it's Cheryl we're talking about who cares? She has become such a smug little arse (that 'salute' she would do on the x factor... Barf) and it's almost as if she and Simon thought they could do whatever they want. There's a lesson in there somewhere... Don't be such a twat that you believe the power of your own importance...

I do think Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have a sense of entitlement, as demonstrated by the great Christmas no.1 race of 2009. So if Cheryl has been turned down by the American producers it may bring her down to earth a little bit.
Personally I think it may be more than her accent, perhaps they think the American audience won't care for her. There again it could just be a publicity stunt by Cowell, the kind he's been pulling for years on the British x factor.
