TO POINT OUT that I doubt if most women have "20 unworn blouses in their wardrobe"

It came from a good source.

But Isuspect women in branches of entertainment and broacasting will have loads of unworn clothes....but they are not typical women

They may well see themselves as being always judged by what they wear.

But I dont think typical women are that bothered. A lot of them wear jeans and trousers, these days

Yes, I am sure you speak for many women

Jeff Banks was one of the speilers. I gather he is big in fashion

20 unworn blouses? ROFL! I don't even have 20 worn ones! My wardrobe is very small, where would I put them?

But then, I have no understanding of the obsession some people have with clothes and appearance.

SilentBob · 25/05/2011 12:07

I don't own a blouse. Blouse. Great word.

Rebecca41 · 25/05/2011 12:08

I'm not sure. I loathe shopping and virtually never buy clothes. But I'm not very good at sorting out my wardrobe either. Having been a very skinny 20-something, and big pregnant 30-something, and now a medium 40-something, I have clothes in a range of sizes, which may amount to 20 blouses. But they have been worn before, so I'm not sure if that counts.

SarkyLady · 25/05/2011 12:08

My wardrobe is full to bursting of shit clothes that I don't really like.
But none of them are unworn.

Tis nonsense.

i have 2 short sleeved blousy tops, i dont reckon I have 20 tops in all

bluebobbin · 25/05/2011 12:12

I don't have a single blouse, let alone an unworn one!

trice · 25/05/2011 12:14

I have a shell Silentbob. Which as far as I can tell is american for a thin sleeveless blouse worn under a jacket. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

My wardrobe is full of things that I shouldn't wear. But I do. I doubt I have 20 tops in total. People love to make this shit up.

FabbyChic · 25/05/2011 12:15

I do have about 20, of those 5 are unworn still with tags, just not been the right time to wear them yet.

LoopyLoopsBettyBoops · 25/05/2011 12:16

Do blouses really exist?

PorkChopSter · 25/05/2011 12:17

I am not and never will be old enough to be wearing Blouses.

ZZZenAgain · 25/05/2011 12:18

I odn't have 20 unworn blouses

TrinityIsAShreddingFatRhino · 25/05/2011 12:18

I dont own any blouses, worn or unworn

I thought my mum was the only person that wore a blouse on occasion

and 20? really? I dont have 20 tops

FabbyChic · 25/05/2011 12:20

When you work in an office a blouse is the required wear, or you can call them shirts. You wear smart trousers and a blouse/shirt, and realistically you want one for every day over 10 days, so 10 blouses/shirts.

I guess it depends on your profession.

I couldn't not wear one.

pooka · 25/05/2011 12:22

I have quite a lot of unworn clothes in my wardrobe.

Waiting for something that they'll go with. Or for me to lose weight.

Also I do have a tendency to "run home to" the clothes I feel most comfortable in - old favourites. 'Tis very silly.

lubberlich · 25/05/2011 12:24

Blouses? Didn't they die out with frocks and slacks?

xstitch · 25/05/2011 12:30

I am another one who doesn't even have 20 worn ones Blush

ScousyFogarty · 25/05/2011 12:30

Thanks for all the posts. Its fairly conclusive result.

I suppose the people who are in high fashion are not talking about the
normal clothes scene.

Its been cold and windy in the East Midlands the last 2 days/ I still have a cardigan on.

When I said this on here in an heatwave an Essex woman said. "I am in a bikini drinking gin."

I am overlooked no way

I don't own any blouses. I have tops, but nothing that could be called a blouse. I don't think.

Only 2 that I've never worn, one of which I made myself and I'm not sure if it counts.

aldiwhore · 25/05/2011 13:08

I've lots of clothes I wear rarely, and a couple still with tags on them that I bought for a bargain and I'm sure I'll wear one day.

But blouses?? None. Actually, thanks for the reminder, I shall buy a blouse tomorrow... my Granny would turn in her grave if she knew I didn't own a 'blouse' (have a few shirts though, do they count?)

FoundWanting · 25/05/2011 13:15

I've got a blouse. A proper blousy blouse. With frills and ruffles and stuff.

And it has been worn. Once. And it has languished at the bottom of the laundry basket since Christmas.

nijinsky · 25/05/2011 13:29

I hate blouses. I haven't got any. I'm not surprised there are so many unworn ones though!
