Wow that thread's hard to read! Loving the poster who said netmums was a bit 'whiny' - that's exactly how it seems to me.

I do think it makes MN seem like an ugly place when people pour scorn on other people just because they frequent a different parenting site.

Sniggering at them because they found some things "difficult to understand" is just awful.

Never been on nm, but actually most responses on that thread seem pretty reasonable.

God yeah...I am up for that....their site meets this site at a park in the middle of the two and we all have a fight.....takes me back to the good old days...where having a fight took effort not like nowadays where you just have to log on to facebook!!!

AAAAHHHHH! This infuriates me! Why is there an us and them mentality? I found netmums first but am increasingly drawn towards mumsnet for its lack of swearing rules. However, Netmums has given me loads of business in the past and I find the whole thing a little like two local schools fighting. What is the point!

5inthebed, from what I can gather from her post I dont think Mnetters were horrible to her, she just objected to mnetters asking questions about what she would like the toy to do and other leading questions that would help. Very strange if you ask me. Maybe she would rather have ill informed recommendations and fill her house with tat that isnt suitable.
