Well am I.

If HE or any of his legal advisors are reading this - pass on a message.

"If you'd kept schtum it would all be blowing well over by now, instead you've reignited it and people will be discussing it for longer. Go out - buy your wife a massive "sorry I was a prat" present and move on with your life".

Oh and employ someone with some common sense to ADVISE you in future - not some rich lawyers who will now be richer as a result of this fruitless action.

Amy dying to see if Twitter deliver up what's demanded in the 7 days they have. Suspect their lawyers might be saying "this is America, they are in the UK - tell em to go take a hike".

If I was Imogen Thomas I would admit it and say 'come on, sue me' - however if she was interviewed on the TV wouldn't the TV company get sued for broadcasting it?

Oblomov · 23/05/2011 12:17

Normally Stacey Cooke, doesn't attend functions. Hardly ever see her. Most people can't remmeber what Ryan Gigg's WAG looks like. Then ... rumours injunction. And ...
Quelle surprise, zere she is, all over ze place:
giggs

Obs and here she is again Wink

Amaretti · 23/05/2011 12:34

Why is The Daily Mail going to such lengths to portray him as a wholesome family man, exactly?

frgaaah · 23/05/2011 12:35

I noticed that too, Amaretti

ceebeegeebies · 23/05/2011 12:36

Do you not think that they are just building him up for an even bigger fall when he is publicly revealed...or maybe they are just taking the p*ss??

MooMooFarm · 23/05/2011 12:46

It could just be to take advantage of all the extra online 'traffic' they will get from any mention of his name - think of all the people giggling him - sorry meant googling Grin

i've just seen a FB discussion on my sister's wall, she's in Glasgow and she says that a newspaper in scotland has named him in their print edition?

i'm assuming that's correct info? i wonder if they'll get sued (they'll be 100000th on the list if they do!)

ceebeegeebies · 23/05/2011 12:57

Yes the Scottish Herald (thought someone linked to it yesterday but can't find it now) - the front page was a full photo of him with a line across his eyes....cos you couldn't work out who it is like that Wink

duckdodgers · 23/05/2011 13:02

Thanks Serena Grin

frgaaah - yes it was a big picture of him on the front with his eyes blacked out. Grin And they name him inside.Grin Bit of a grey area if they wil get sued as Scotland has an entirely different legal sytem to England and apparantly said super injunction wasnt applied for in Scotland or covers there. Even bigger Grin. You cant access it in the online version of the paer because of course this can be views outside Scotland but all over the paper version. That you can buy and take to England of course. Grin

Oblomov · 23/05/2011 13:04

Hello Ceebee.
I don't think its just the mail that presenting Giggs as family. I think that has been the crux of his appeal for a long time. He is presented as that and has been for many years. Many suspected a sham ( or is that just his marraige Wink), but now we all have it as confirmed.

be very careful snickers

LouMacca · 23/05/2011 13:14

Ryan Giggs children look so adorable. His son look so cute. I feel so sorry for his children. I'm sure when Imogen Thomas is on the front of the NOTW and the full sordid story comes out they will get teased at school. What a pig!!

wiki says one of the current injunctions protects 'a married man in the entertainment industry' (presumably the TV presenter everyone is on about?) who had an affair which led to the woman involved losing her job. It says the woman concerned 'agreed to the injunction being sought'. So maybe she was in favour, or maybe she just thought she couldn't win against a more powerful man?

At any rate, the celeb is entitled to keep his sex life private but in this case someone else paid the price and lost her job - so it's not just his business any more. If the woman concerned wanted to talk, she should be able to. Equally if she wants to keep it quiet, she should be able to.

frgaaah · 23/05/2011 13:27

maybe she was in favour, or maybe she just thought she couldn't win against a more powerful man?

Exactly!

ceebeegeebies · 23/05/2011 13:43

Yes, I know who that one is and the actor is the main character in the TV series whereas she had only been in for one series (I think) so who were they going to support??? Totally not fair though on the woman. Would be interesting to see what would have happened if it had been the other way round Hmm

edam · 23/05/2011 13:45

Ah, that's the TV series which is a bit like a modern re-working of Upstairs, Downstairs? I heard a suggestion somewhere that S&M may be involved. But that could be the 'TV presenter'.

ceebeegeebies · 23/05/2011 13:47

No, that is a different one - the Downton Abbey one was the one who slept with the Wayne Rooney prostitute.

I have not heard about the TV presenter - the one where the woman lost her job was definintely involved an actor.

Does it mean the TV presenter who Tweeted the name of another footballer with an injunction and therefore potentially in contempt of court and facing imprisonment? That has been discussed lower down the thread....

WhipMeIndiana · 23/05/2011 13:59

presumably when he applied for the superinjunction she had to agree to it? sign something? she prob got a payoff then?

WhipMeIndiana · 23/05/2011 14:00

if they outlawed superinjunctions, would all of the current ones be revealed? in a special edition newspaper?? haha
