... to think that because I can't see a new IPOAT thread I should start one myself?

Especially as I want to wish CheerfulYank a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today. Hope you are having a lovely day.

And here is the patron saint of IPOAT playing Happy Birthday To CY!

Thanks Gels. Did dissolve a bit, onslaught of all at once I suppose. Think the meanness of AexH (we know what A stands for) got to me. Sometimes fighting the big battles is easier than the skirmishes. Like slaying a dragon then being laid low by a gnat.
But no more. Head is high.
Chin is out.
Spirits bit dented still but that's what God invented gin for.
Very grateful for IPOAT support.

CheerfulYank · 01/07/2011 02:26

Ugh. I'll put him on my Slap List if you like. Or I can create a special Knee to the Junk List, even. Just for him!

Fiderer · 01/07/2011 02:42

Thanks CY. There are plenty of deserving people in need of Love Batons. Others must be consigned to your Slap List.

Can't sleep. Went to get water in the kitchen and the table is covered in paper, sticky tape, pens from dd making me a birthday "card" out of a sweet box - she roped her brothers in to sign it too. It's now on my desk, I'll pretend I haven't seen it. It is so lovely.

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 07:57

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 08:26

There'll be extra tatting tomorrow my gel, and carding.

Enjoy the day. Reallly.

PrincessFiorimonde · 01/07/2011 11:37

Happy birthday dear Fiderer! Have no helpful words to add; others have already said them. But am hoping the sun is shining for you and am sending birthday hugs a-plenty. xx

Happy Birthday Fiderer and I second the IPOAT advice.

Rest your thumbs for the extra tatting

Poodleplops · 01/07/2011 14:04

what does IPOAT stand for? Confused

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 14:10

Incredible Penis Of Arthur Goggings

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 14:11

I mean Tallahassie

minimammoth · 01/07/2011 14:55

Oh Lawks. I have been far to long in the herb drying/distilling shed, it's quite gone to my head. So have just caught up on all the bloody RL. Fiddy, have as happy a birthday as you can manage right now, its time for a robust tonic, stout, methinks.
Watkins has rigged a fine scarecrow in the barn, feel free to punch away.

Honeydragon · 01/07/2011 15:21

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll do your tatting so you can have a nice long weekend, dear.

Fiderer · 02/07/2011 08:50

Much cheered by IPOAT wishes. Weather not great for swimming yesterday but I was happy to sit and read my new book. Normally always someone I know there and we'd share a birthday bottle but I was the only adult, were only a few hardened children.
Then a friend spotted our bikes and brought her children in and we bribed them with chips and sweets to leave us to have a drink and a chat. She's my closest friend here and the only person here who knows the whole story of h, and my losing my mind heart to the other one.

Had dinner out with the children - haven't done that for ages and they were funny and laughing and great. Ice-cream on the way home from the wonderful Italian place and then a DVD.
H emailed just now about us going to a mediation service to sort out the house and maintenance. I agreed, this has been going on for 3 years now. I have also lined up a good lawyer.

Hullygully · 02/07/2011 18:24

Hip hip huzzah!

Jolly good show, Fiddy. Love and hugs. xx

Fiderer · 03/07/2011 11:46
Hullygully · 03/07/2011 11:49

No no, Ipoats are notoriously flittersome - worry not. How you feeling now?

Fiderer · 03/07/2011 11:58

Scatter away, thanks, gentle and warm is just right.

Am finding the weekend long without the children and head a-buzzing but have things to Do.
Rave away, tis a lovely day here.

Hullygully · 04/07/2011 09:04

What a beautiful day!

I say we load up the barouches and trundle out into the glorious countryside for an improving meander and a light lunch. I understand the regiment are on manoeuvres hereabouts, we must be careful to keep a maidenly distance for the sake of the gels.

Fiderer · 04/07/2011 09:49

Let's do! I have been punching away at the scarecrow in the barn and am red-faced, hot and dusty.

minimammoth · 04/07/2011 09:59

We must take water colours, parasols, magnifying glass and note book to record sightings of any 'wildlife' we may come across. Watkins can pack up a splendid picnic hamper, oh and a butterfly net, that will be extremely useful. Oh and a mushroom identifyer, ahem. ('scuse spellings if wrong, although 'tis good to be creaative.)

Fiderer · 04/07/2011 10:10

Oh Gels, will it be like this?

Fiderer · 04/07/2011 10:11

Or more like this?

Hullygully · 04/07/2011 10:43

Those poor ladies in your second image, Miss Fiddy, appear to have lorst their garments.
