... to think that because I can't see a new IPOAT thread I should start one myself?

Especially as I want to wish CheerfulYank a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today. Hope you are having a lovely day.

And here is the patron saint of IPOAT playing Happy Birthday To CY!

Dear Gels. Much gratitude for the birthday wishes and the delightful presence of young gentlemen bearing all cakes. And for the interesting mammoth set in large tooth cake Fliffy.
I have been given a new herbal with many interesting remedies to try, I will be needing victims those willing to try new experiences. But that is for tomorrow, today 'tis merriment. Where are the minstrels? Pass my corset and help me with that hat.

Honeydragon · 28/06/2011 10:13

Oh, I went to a outdoor tavern, there was much music and merriment at the festival, although I did not partake of strong liqueur, in case the parson found out.

I have been sorely punished for my frivolities and went to see the good Dr this morning for some bloodletting after suitable fasting

Honeydragon · 28/06/2011 10:14

Many happy returns Mini

Jins · 28/06/2011 10:22

I've got the minstrels

Dig in

minimammoth · 28/06/2011 13:41

gromph, slurp.

Honeydragon · 28/06/2011 13:44

Gromph is now my most favourite ever descriptive word.

Hullygully · 28/06/2011 14:57

I'm not sure that gromphing is altogether compatible with ladylikeness

Honeydragon · 28/06/2011 15:37

don't care

minimammoth · 29/06/2011 17:32

gromph gromph gromph gromph.
Ahem. Tat tat tat tat

Umami · 29/06/2011 19:16

It's a bit fooking mental strange out there. Best to hide down here. I've enough bottles of porter in my garters to last us for some time, and I reckon Pag may still have some pie down her cleavage.

Fiderer · 29/06/2011 19:33

Joins Umami under parapet.
Pass the porter, it is indeed Strange out there.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:00

Innit?

she said no she never oh yes she did she is the other one you said on fb no in never you are her she said i never

Ladies should always maintain a dignified silence, a discreet cough should be all that is needed to indicate discomfort/enquiry/ overwhelming lust/anything in te range of human emotion.

Miss Fiderer, have you enjoyed pasta today?

MadameDefarge · 29/06/2011 21:25

ahem. testing. testing.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:28

WHERE THE FUCKING FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN? IFUCKING PMED YOU AND EVERYTHING!!

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:29

The fucking narrative fell to pieces, we are all in a half-burnt barn or a ha-ha. Fuck.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:29
MadameDefarge · 29/06/2011 21:35

My dear ladies! I have been too poor to pay broadband bill locked in the attic with Bertha. And let me tell you, she has very poor personal hygiene.

I have also been having a mini nervous breakdown, presiding over potential demise of business and battling exp.

I have missed you all so.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:38

Well you could have gone to the bloody library/internet caff and told us and we could have helped. We could have stole the pore box from teh church or summat.

Come on, sit down on the chaise and tell all.

Umami · 29/06/2011 21:42

Madame! Was just considering some kind of rescue mission to Hackney! And now DH is just home and will get all eggy if am MNing.

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:44

eggy? surely not?

MadameDefarge · 29/06/2011 21:44

oh, I'm rubbish I know. Just have such a long list of things to do that are vital and all I seem able to do is hide under the duvet. But I am getting through my list ....

Its just all been a bit crap really. Business really taking a pummelling. Am trying to figure out a way to rescue it and might have A Cunning Plan. but its exhausting. And ExP is still so cross about school he refused to help pay ds school fees for last term (on verge of being tossed out AGAIN! and its only two weeks till end of term and his primary career) but kindly said I was free to ask his mother for loan...

AGGGHHHHHH!

MadameDefarge · 29/06/2011 21:45

Eggy? How intriguing!

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:46

And all the new dear ladies won't know you.

Dear gels and ladies, Mimi is one of our earliest number who has travelled the length and breadth of Albion and beyond, by balloon and yak, always staunchly bearing aloft the narrative thread, winding it ina nd out as necessary, whilst stealing husbands and being a loose painted harlot maintianing a ladylike and becoming demeanour

Hullygully · 29/06/2011 21:47

I thought ds' godgather was going to stump up?

MadameDefarge · 29/06/2011 21:47

we have new ladies? In need of narrative cohesion, ah, I truly feel I am home once more!
