There's a thread about Mothercare being a bit rubbish...

My mum advised me against pumpkin patch as apparently the clothes aren't very good quality...

Just being nosy really!

Grin at people saying they buy designer labels because they are "so much better quality"!!!!

Jimmy Choos just wear so well, don't they. Oh, and a Birkin bag will last for years, when an ordinary leather handbag will fall apart after 3 weeks.

I buy designer stuff sometimes - but I don't kid myself about why!

asda, tesco, sainsburys, matalan and primark for everyday wear, especially nursery clothes.
Next, m&s etc for best or when I'm feeling a spending spree coming.

If a sale is on will go anywhere

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 12/05/2011 10:43

I don't spend more for better quality but nicer designs

Next is fab for design and price but means that every kid looks the same cause there's so little choice for kids boys especially

bambiandthumper · 12/05/2011 10:46

Don't know about Jimmy Choos as they are not my thing, but yes, a Birkin will last for years, and years, and years despite very heavy use and still be in style 20 years from now.

Nice clothes (for going out or looking presentable) - used to be Boden and John Lewis. Now its Jojomamanbebe. We got quite a bit of GAP stuff on a big sale.

But currently most of DD's and DS's clothes are from George at Asda. I avoid the stuff with huge logos and try to get the really plain pieces. ds is still a baby, so i often leave him in sleepsuits - he has bad eczema and anything too tight fitting irritates it.

Dd gets a lot of petit bateau as gifts, which is a shame as it's really small fitting and always too tiny. She's 2, and even the 3 year old jacket wouldn't button up.
