To put a note through my neighbour's door? WWYD?

Woman across the road has opened her bedroom curtains whilst topless twice while my husband has been alone in the front room. She was looking right at him both times. I suspect she fancies him and is doing this deliberately (she always gives him the hairy eyeball when they pass in the street, but completely blanks me and my son). I think we should put a note through the cheeky bloody cow's door reminding her that we can see into her bedroom, but my husband has asked me not to.

What would you do?

I think if you put a note through your husband would be seeing a lot more of her in the future.

AgentZigzag · 11/05/2011 12:59

'I think the answer is not to look up at her bedroom windows'

But once you're consciously thinking you don't want to look at the window, the first thing you'd do is look at the window Grin

harrietthespook · 11/05/2011 13:02

If you send her a letter she is going to turn the whole thing around and make it seem like your dh is perving at her.

She could be quite weird, for sure. But honestly - your DH needs to just close the curtains the next time she enters her bedroom.

Alternatively, what about holding up a score card with a nowt on it?

(Mine would be terrified of this chicjk he hasn't laid eyes on big babylonians for some time now!)

cannydoit · 11/05/2011 13:02

it could be me to i am always roaming around in the buff.

Salmotrutta · 11/05/2011 13:03

I am sure that my neighbours have had more than an eye full when they have peaked through my windows, sometimes I play up to it and blow kisses other times I ignore them.

So your neighbours peek through your windows?? Shock As in, standing up close and peering in?? Confused

bupcakesandcunting · 11/05/2011 13:07

"Why should I have to have the curtains closed in case some pervy old mingebag wants to flap her knockers at me?"

Ha ha ha ha ow my face hurts from laughing Grin

I was moaning at DH the other week about being fed up of seeing the over the road neighbour's white, flabby arse in his bedroom window most nights. It IS vile and has the consistency of a sock filled with suet by the looks of things. Then DH pointed out that I often roam the upstairs of the house with nothing on, oblivious to any potential viewers. You just forget yourself sometimes, I think.

Bohica · 11/05/2011 13:08

You could start doing it to her & see how she likes it.
A kind of you show me yours & I'll show you mine?

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 11/05/2011 13:08

well if she is topless when she goes to open her curtains she obv cant know DH is in whatever room she looks onto can she as her curtains were initally closed.

Ignore her.........he'll just have to look away if her tits offend him!

WobblyWidgetOnTheScooper · 11/05/2011 13:09

"Dh and I would probably have a laugh about it - I trust dh so not really an issue"

Same here. That kind of thing is just fodder for a good chuckle in our house.

I really really wouldn't do anything OP. If she's a nutty husband-enticer she will only be spurred on. Or start telling everyone your DH is a perv.

AgentZigzag · 11/05/2011 13:09

So turning it around again harriett, if it was a woman who'd regularly seen a bloke she thought was purposefully exposing himself to her from his bedroom while she was at home, the onus would be on her not to look rather than him not stand there in the buff?

DameShirleyKnot · 11/05/2011 13:12

I thought this was you bupcakes in a namechange Shock

What would your note say OP?

slightlymad72 · 11/05/2011 13:13

Salmotrutta, yep I have had them stand at the windows looking in, Why? I don't know, it didn't happen very often, maybe its aproblem with terrace houses that front directly on to the pavement..

RevoltingPeasant · 11/05/2011 13:15

'Dear NDN,

Whilst looking through your bedroom windows recently, I noticed that your tits were offensively saggy. Please ensure your curtains are closed in future or get a nip n tuck.

My husband has been seriously distressed.

OP'

DameShirleyKnot · 11/05/2011 13:19

Dear NDN,

NICE TITS!!!!

Love OP

Salmotrutta · 11/05/2011 13:20

Well, I'm not sure how I'd respond to your situation either slightlymad! I'd probably go to the door and say very pleasantly "Did you want something?Only I noticed you looking in the window to be nosey-- see if I was in" Or something like that anyway! Grin

AgentZigzag · 11/05/2011 13:20

Are you sure they weren't walking the dog waiting for it to catch up slightlymad?

When I walk with 16 MO DD2 obviously you can't see her because she's so small, so when she stops to examine a fag end/crisp packet on the pavement, from the inside of a window onto the pavement it just looks like I'm standing hanging about having a neb at their room.

Although tbf I do have a sneaky peek, but they can't see because of my sunglasses Grin

razors · 11/05/2011 13:20

How about changing the position of your sofa? Or - pop out in the dead of night and paint her windows black!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/05/2011 13:20

In the house behind and slightly to the left the woman sunbathes topless on alternate Sunday. Her DH is completely stark bollocko with shaved pubes. They lay on the trampoline. I assume the children that come on alternate weekends are from a previous relationship.
They are only visible from the top floor bathroom. If I hear DH going to the top of the house, me and DD tease him about being a pervy peeker.

AgentZigzag · 11/05/2011 13:21

Pahahaha at offensively saggy Grin

ashamedandconfused · 11/05/2011 13:22

I think that it would still be classed as exposure even if she technically is in her own home. You would be "in your own home" if you answered the door starkers, its still not right - wasn't there a recent case of a fella flashing in his own window as schoolgirls walked by?

chicletteeth · 11/05/2011 13:24

Dingdong Grin

I like the poster in the window idea myself.

Surely not indecent exposure if it's in your own house? (Although I have a sneaking suspicion it could well be legally)

blackteaplease · 11/05/2011 13:26

Seriously? I do this, and streak across the living room to get clothes from the airer. Surely it's no diffrent to a bit of topless sunbathing.

If she was pressing her baps up against the window I'd be worried.

DameShirleyKnot · 11/05/2011 13:29

ashamed - would one get arrested for answering the front door naked? changes afternoon plans

AgentZigzag · 11/05/2011 13:34

It seems to come down to whether the person seeing it is offended.

Just seen this on a website 'If you're a woman naked in her own house and a man sees, the man can be arrested for being a peeping tom. If you're a man naked in his own house and a woman sees, the man can be arrested for indecent exposure', not sure how that stands with the law.

So it looks as though it's almost impossible for a woman to be done for indecent exposure (not that you're going to the police OP) unless she manages to expose her bits to the world.

Cartwheels?
