Think that's quite a good list, actually - might have to have a bash at some of the ones I can't do!

Although being a veggie, I'm not sure I'll ever get around to the rabbit-skinning...

I think the list is rather good and in fact me and DW have formlated a similar list of things we want our DSs to be able to do. Our list includes being able to ski, play a round of golf and use basic survival skills. Other than that, it is ideally what every accomplished young man or woman of the World should be able to do.

I can do about 30 of them.

Here are the ones I would really like to add to my repertoire:

2. Say 'Can you help me please' in Arabic, Cantonese, Urdu, Spanish and Russian

6. Talk about five classics of English literature with authority and passion

8. Know how to grow carrots from seed, distinguish five native trees, identify twenty flowers and arrange a bunch

14. Recognise Mozart, Elgar and Handel

17. Sail a boat across The Solent

22. Find their way round five capital cities

35. Know how to manage a bank account
