Why do people think this? They don't look alike - the only thing they have in common is the red hair, but Hewitt's is wavy, whereas Harry's looks like a loo-brush, not at all dissimilar to Earl Spencer's.

Plus - wouldn't one of the tabloids have swiped a hair off his jacket while rolling out of a club at 3 in the morning, had it analysed and flogged the story by now if there anything even remotely in it at all.

I always think people are a wee bit simple/naive when they trot out this old chestnut.

Surely someone could check the dates for whether Hewitt was in the UK at the time of conception? I seem to remember reading somewhere he was serving overseas so the dates didn't work.

Eye colour is not a good indicator of parentage as recessive genes are capable of being expressed. I am surprised people still care.

I think that the 'lack of awkwardness' someone mentioned that sets Harry apart from other Royals probably comes from his Mother and her family. Neither Harry or William looks strikingly like Charles although they both have some Windsor features, William probably more so than Harry. I think its probably just one of those things where someone likes more like one parent than the other. FWIW I don't think the Queen is awkward I think she carries herself very well . Also there were pictures from the Royal Wedding with Prince Harry sitting beside his cousin Lady Louise and they looked similar, theres something in the eyes and nose I think.

TBH I still have a bit of a crush on Harry since Friday, so enjoy reading anything about him...so hope y'all keep discussing him for a while.

Wasn't there a rumour that Harry was DNA tested as a child (despite Diana's opposition to it) when the murmurs about it first started? I can believe that that may have been true because I don't think the Queen would have been 100% trusting of Diana even then.

Lovelyoak - no, that's not how eye colour works. Turns out GCSE biology teachers fib about that one. Several genes are involved. Which is ruddy irritating - fine if they need to simplify things for GCSE but they could at least mention 'it's actually a bit more complicated than so don't go around suggesting people aren't related on the basis of eye colour'.
