I dont think it could be called a GK copy, although certainly heavily inspired by it. GK's was less structured, with more less and buttoning. I loved it.

I thought she looked lovely, but I did find the dress underwhelming tbh, 6/10 from me.

I agree that her make-up was too harsh for the occasion, too much blusher and eyeliner but I expected that after reading last week she was to do her own make-up.

I loved Pippa's dress, and the little page boys looked gorgeous. The little bridesmaids were a bit 80's for my taste.

exoticfruits · 29/04/2011 13:21

I don't think that it was a GK copy except that it was really elegant.
I did notice the Queen's distain for Camilla-it was quite marked.

welliesandpyjamas · 29/04/2011 13:23

Stunning 10/10

rockinhippy · 29/04/2011 13:24

Love the front, still waiting for a decent view of the back detail though, but its looking like a 10/10 from me too :)

noddyholder · 29/04/2011 13:25

I think the Middleton men looked amazing and fitted in well but the sister and mum just look too try hard. Her mums outfit was simple and elegant but she looks a bit naff not sure what it is.

BigSooz · 29/04/2011 13:27

4/10 for Pippa. Too tight around her arse, made her look bigger than she is and looked creased already when she got out of the car.

8/10 for Kate's mum. Understated, nice colour.

4/10 for Camilla. Very dowdy.

0/10 to Sam Cam, Looked like she was popping round to a friend's for lunch. Not formal enough, no hat. Tut tut.

7/10 for Kate's dress. She is a beautiful woman and obviously she looked totally lovely, but it didn't have that 'wow factor' at all for me, and I didn't like the conical 1950s thing going on her with her breasts.

0/10 for VB, looking like Cruella De Ville in black. Her fake ponytail was revolting.

0/10 for the Archbish of Canterbury, who couldn't even be arsed to pul a comb through his hair.

Harry could have sorted his scruffy student 'do out, too.

Wills is morphing from a young Di to a young (ish) Charles before our eyes.

So sayeth the fashion expert that is Big Sooz

mumblechum1 · 29/04/2011 13:27

I think it's lovely, she looked so slim and elegant and incredibly poised. I'd be a red faced snivelling wreck in front of so many people

rockinhippy · 29/04/2011 13:28

totally agree with Pippas dress was nice enough (not blown away though) but totally inappropriate for the venue

thought the Queen looked lovely in her yellow outfit too :)

BigSooz · 29/04/2011 13:29

Also, mish mash of styles - 50s conical tits, Edwardian lace sleeves, that very simple veil - it was a bit of a 'no', actually. 5/10.

She only pulled it off because she is so lovely.

Bucharest · 29/04/2011 13:32

Agree more or less with Bigsooz.

The Italians are raving about Peeepa, but tbh, I thought she looked like a bride herself about to get married at Sandals.

Sam Cam looks better on days when she's not got a big bash on.

Cleggo's wife's hat looked like my Mum's 1970s kitchen tiles.

Kate's dress was very lovely, but I didn't like the ruching bit round the middle. Made it look almost as if she had a sssssh 4 mth fetus in there.

OK, will take myself off to the Tower. Grin

Duchess of Kent bless her looked like she'd forgotten to take her nighty off.

Thanks to a gust of wind, I finally got to see the top back & bustle detail properly - along with the pleat like panels in the train - I love it!! :)

mumblechum1 · 29/04/2011 13:35

God, there are some really catty people on this thread Shock

shandyleer · 29/04/2011 13:36

BoF! Disappointed in Kate's dress, was the type of dress I thought it would be but somehow didn't quite hit the mark.

Thought Pippa looked fab, and I think Harry thought so too.

[cgrin]

I cocked that link up! That was actually Victoria Beckham's dress, sorry [cgrin]

Chocolocolate · 29/04/2011 13:40

10/10 - I thought she looked beautiful and very happy.

BigSooz · 29/04/2011 13:40

Why?@mumblechum

Is it catty to give less than 10/10?

She is a beautiful woman, but imvho her dress was a let down.

I doubt she will ever know my opinion, though - or give a flying fuck what I thought - so I think it is safe to say I can be brutally honest here Grin

Come on, people. Pippa looked like one of the girls from TOWIE!

Sidge · 29/04/2011 13:40

I think she looks beautiful.

The dress is very classic and understated, just what I expected with the lace covering the arms and shoulders and quite a plain dress and train with some detail on the front.

Sequins and sparkles would have been quite inappropriate, so I think they got it just right for the occasion.

The tiara and veil are just stunning.

Harry looks he forgot to brush the back of his head! But he does look cute though.

Pippa's dress is lovely but not what I expected. She's certainly got the figure for it but does look rather over-tanned.
